The flip side is now you have to score a touchdown to go up no matter what, where if you converted the 2 a FG does it. It's a judgement call, but I can see the logic in going for it.

I don't know of any good coach who would have gone for 2 in that situation.

Sooner or letter they will start to pck it up. That won't make them good (they are candy). What I'm saying is if they start to get smarter and pick up that stanford D they can win some games.
