I know Sentreal Henderson is a tremendous talent and I would love to have him at UT, but those are some WEAK numbers for a college football player, especially a D1 starting LT.

http://miami.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1211610

270-pound bench max, 230-pound power clean max, and 375-pound squat max. That's ridiculous. For someone who weighs 345 pounds.

It's pretty crazy that a player that could very well end up a Top-5 NFL Draft Pick can't even bench his body weight. Like I said earlier I would love to have him at UT, but his numbers really surprised me.

I also noticed that most of UM's team was weak at least compared to UT's players. I'd be willing to bet that UT's players would demolish these numbers.

yea that is weak

hell some kids coming out of HS nowadays are benching 400-500

our FB recruit hunter joyer could do 500 something and he's only like 250lbs

My SR year of HS I maxed out at 215 LBS on bench, 170 LBS on powerclean, and 295 LBS on squat and I only weighed 160 LBS. So him barely being stronger with an almost 200 LBS of extra weight is just plain pathetic.

I agree with all points made.

Not trying to brag, but I'm playing DIII football right now at 190 lbs. and I can best all those marks. Especially the bench.

Just trying to make the point that there are plenty of athletes that weigh 100+ pounds less that can do better.

Like I mentioned before Sentreal has All-Pro NFL potential at LT, but he really needs to step it up in the weight room. He can get by at dominating ACC DL with skill alone, but he will need to beef it up if he wants to perform at that level in the NFL. D-Ware, M-Williams, etc. would eat him alive ATM.

I agree... When I was a junior I weighed 160 benched 265 squatted around 350.. We didn't power clean but I military pressed 185 (not sure how that would relate to power clean).. He!! it was 1978 and our weightlifting program was non existent. Most of our gains were made during summer working out with our buddies on our own..

This boy should be stronger and I suspect he will get much stronger in the next couple of years..

If he gets the job done, then those numbers don't really mean anything. Kevin Durant couldn't bench 185 pounds even once coming out of college.

it won't get it done in the NFL and Durant wasn't pushing around 280lb guys on every play either

So you're saying that all pro NFL D Lineman could dominate a 19 yr old true Soph? Well, I gotta tell ya Jim, I'm shocked!

Wasn't he named a freshman All American last year?

Read through it again. I said if Sentreal doesn't beef up (get much stronger) then he will get dominated once he is in the NFL.

This says nothing of his ability, It does throw out the red flag of getting fat and lazy though.

I love how this thread brought out all the old Al Bundy glory days. You guys must have your weight room measurements tatooed on your arms.
