These guys were recruited to play in a pro-style offense. I know they are getting a free education, but in reality anyone that plays college ball has asperation of playing pro.

None of these guys fit into CBJ style of offense (Peterman is the only one that has a chance). My question is does CBJ let these guys transfer if they want too.

I truly feel bad for Bray. I knwo alot of people dont like him but he is a good passer that needs one more year to develope and I dont think he gets that chance under CBJ.

meh they were probably hitting the draft anyway. and as they say, its a business. although we as fans arent allowed to treat it as such apparently. god forbid we voice displeasure with our product. we'll get run out of town for not being orange enough or something. but yeah anyone should be allowed to transfer. lets cut this you play for the university, not the coach crap. esp considering we're now trying to poach a couple of cincy recruits. who thought youd see the day we had to poach a cincy recruit? sorry to rant, best wishes to all involved.

Take a look at Peterman's high school tapes. You won't remember bray's jersey number. Jones may taylor it a little for bray... who knows. It's what we got. I'm on board.

Any of our QB's could play in this offense. Worley played in a spread in HS. Peterman is a perfect fit!

Um...we hired a guy that we already have young QB's for and you're worried about Bray who is going into his senior season and will likely just go pro? Im not seeing any disadvantages of hiring Butch. If anything we hired a guy that we already have the talent for....

he must not if does not know that he is a dual threat running and gunning QB

First off, I knwo who Peterman is and know he is dual threat. Maybe I should have clarified my post a little better.

Peterman does fit, so where does this leave Bray & Worly? My guess its the bench since CBG runs the spread. Bray has started since middle of his freshman year. I was simply trying to say I dont think its fair to him to ride pine cause CBJ is bringing the spread in. I know he was more than likely leaving anyways.

He runs a read option. We need a mobile quarterback for it to work. We currently do not have one who is IDEAL for this offense. Be prepared for our O to look like our D this year.

Peterman fits it perfect and Worley will be just fine as well he ran a similar style in high school. Bray not so much. He is gone anyway.

LSU went to a BCS title with no offense...if people on here are questioning the offense...you aren't a vol since you obviously didnt see a game last season...BTW, butch had a top 20 defense at UC.

A good coach will use the talent he has to it's fullest capability. That was Sunseri's problem. He didn't have the speed to run the defense he used but Justin Wilcox was able to do much more with the same players. Jones may let his OC maximize the talent to be as productive as possible until he can recruit the talent to run his style offense. If he can win, I could care less how he does it.

First. Jones is considered an offensive mind.
Peterman was recruited by Cinci.
Worley set national records in highschool running the spread. He just wasn't a running threat.

Life is tough and aint fair. But I wouldn't throw the baby out with the bathwater just yet.
The spread does not necessarily negate any QB over there now. And Jones may be open to different offensive philosophy depending on personel.

We ran a version of the spread in the pistol this year you don't have to have a running qb look what Texas tech did with graham harrel that was a version of the spread

Anybody else notice he ran that offense when he had the tools to do so. He inherited LeFevour(sp) and Collaros, so he ran spread option.
