I just noticed in an article published awhile back about the UT color scheme on Nike shoes that it said UT will make the official switch to Nike on July 1st but the football uniforms won't be "officially unveiled" until August 1st.
Anyone able to clarify that?

Yeah...on July 1st they're going to unveil the uniform in an invitation only extravaganza. On August 1st, the SEC Network will use it as filler. :hi:

I read somewhere that Dave Hart is making sure that utsports.com will be live streaming the unveil of the uniforms. July 1st :)

If Hart keeps dividing the fan base, pretty soon there won't be enough of a fan base to divide, like that or not. Yes we are known for Tradition, and the people that wants to add butt ugly colors needs to realize that also. The kids know our beautiful one of a kind orange when they sign, changes will not make a football player better, that's why Butch makes the big bucks . I can't understand when you have the best and only color of our Orange in college football, ppl simply want to look like the rest .the gray, or black teams uniforms that add nothing like the beauty we have on our field, and in the stands on football Saturday

Are you talking about the switch to Nike? Because if he stays with Adidas then he still would be dividing the fan base.

Or are you talking about the uniforms that no one has seen?

There's plenty to gripe about over Hart, but this isn't one of them

Funny that I see a ton of smokey grey jerseys at Neyland Stadium on game day but let's not let facts get in the way of you speaking for the entire fan base when expressing your single opinion.

That article was written in January. They will be revealed on the July 1st.

Disagree completely! Our orange is spectacular and I love it. No one is talking about changing our color, they are asking for ALTERNATE uniforms to pair the awesome orange with. People seem to love the smokey grays because of the beauty of its contrast against the orange.
Stay true to the colors but there is nothing wrong with mixing it up a little. Bring on the infrequent alternate to add some excitement.

I'm curious as to why they angled the bottom of the "S's" as they are the only letters that have the bottoms angled. Plus, it seems a little odd that they angled the second "S" on both sides at the bottom, but the first "S" only on the bottom right. I can understand what they are trying to do relative to consistent spacing, but it still seems a little odd. Here are a few different mock ups where the "S's" are the same, but in slightly different variations. I'm not sure if I like these any better or not... possibly the first one where the "S's" are angled at all ends.

It was a fan mockup based on a screenshot of the first few letters. I bet your second or third rendition is closest to what it will look like.
