Personally, I just want to see a white jersey/orange pants game this year. Hasn't happened since 2013. I don't mind the stormtrooper being the main road uniform, but the white on orange is nice too.
I like the Stormtroopers for SEC road games and the white top/orange pants for OOC road games just to add a little extra orange.
I agree but we really don't play that many road OOC games anymore. I'd rather do something like road games against SEC East opponents wear stormtrooper, road games against SEC West wear white/orange, with the exception being Alabama, that one we can go either way.

Or do what really needs to happen and tell Alabama to get off their damn high horse and wear color vs. color every year (I've always understood it to be that we are cool with it, but they refuse).
USC/UCLA does it and its gorgeous.
Well yeah, that definitely needs to happen. UF and UGA do it now too. BYU and Utah do it as well though they don't play every year anymore. I'm sure more and more teams will start doing it. Games like South Carolina/Clemson and Kentucky/Louisville could easily do it since their colors contrast.
The last I heard was back in 2009 Kiffin tried to do it, and the Alabama AD said no.
You haven't been around much, have you?
Anytime the uniform has changed, and I mean ANYTIME, there is a large contingent of fans in an uproar.

That's kind of boing doesn't seem like Nike at all to not have any changes or anything new. What's up w that?
You're right. We aren't Alabama. But we aren't Oregon either and we shouldn't mold our uniforms around them. We have always had the best uniforms in the country so why change them?
Sounds like orange uniforms with grey helmets and cleats for Bristol. Just speculating.Nike does not change the standard look for most of their teams each year. They establish a primary look, then sometimes add an alternate or a different element for a special promotion or if a team plays in a marquee or "special" game.
I never said you won't see anything new, but don't expect any changes to the standard home and road uniforms.
The Smokey Grey uniform and helmet are not supposed to be mixed and matched with other uniforms, but the players would like to wear the helmet more than once.
Why does alternate uniforms have to be related to Oregon? And tradition to Bama? These are different times we live in. We are Tennessee. We're no more less, or more like, anyone else because of a uniform. It's fun, it's exciting, it's different. I guess the UT campus doesn't need an upgrade because it's how it's always been. Surly didn't need a stadium, should have kept the old school bleachers. How about the training center? Who needs that, they should just practice like the old days. In the end all that matters is if we W. We'll forget about the jersey when the games being played, but they are still fun. And we live in a time where " traditional/throwbacks" have become cooler to be an alternate. I love UT football as much as anyone, but the uniforms are pretty boring. It don't mean I need to root for another team. I def. Don't hate orange, but they could use some pop. The checkerboarding on the pants and helmet is weak imo.And I don't care how great Bama is. Their uniforms suck too. And if your too closed minded to accept change in uniforms in a time where everything is changing. Well I feel sorry for some people's love life lol

I can verify this as true.
90% or more of the country had B&W TV's in the 60's. However, the uniform colors on a B&W TV would not have been as big of an issue, if not for a more prominent yet less talked about problem during that time.
See, back in the 60's, we weren't capable of telling the difference between a T on one team's helmets and actual #'s on the other team's helmets. I know it's pretty embarrassing by today's standards, but way back in the 60's, we just weren't smart enough.
