Teams (other than Oregon) don't purchase special uniforms for spring games. Oregon does a special military fundraiser for their spring game, but that's about it.

Who would be in favor of grey pants and white tops on the road games once or twice year. Pretty slick uniform combo. I hate the off-season

I hope we don't go Oregon crazy with jerseys. I feel we can go with a Grey uniform and maybe a black but after that it would be getting crazy. Maybe an alternate helmet color but I love the traditional helmet so I'm torn.

Bump - there was an update on VQ today where they spoke with Dave Hart about the Smokey Greys for 2014 and beyond when we move to Nike. Can anyone post a few quotes? TIA.

Speaking at the UT athletics program's annual All-Sports Picnic on the Lipscomb University campus, Hart confirmed that the Vols already have ordered their "Smokey Gray" uniforms for the 2014 season --- and that options will exist moving forward with the school's new long-term agreement with Nike.

"We will still do the one alternate," said Hart, in confirming the additional uniform option in the Vols' eight-year, $35-million deal with Nike. "I think most people will continue to do that. But no we won't be [some programs with several]. We won't be that."

Will the Vols wear the "Smokey Grays" this fall

"We are," Hart said. "We have already ordered that one."

Could an addition to the Vols' line of helmet options also be in the program's future?

"Maybe," Hart said. "We haven't totally made that decision yet."

The only change I really want to see is VOLS back on the front of the helmet, instead of another little power T

I agree with this but I would like to see a orange helmet with a white strip and white Power T outlined in black.
I would also like to see another logo here and there other than the Power T. I would love to see more of the old Rifle man/Davy Crockett logo from the 80's and 90's. A update of the Rifleman and the VOLS logo would be nice as well. GBO!!!
