No, Hubbs misunderstood what his source told him. Some of the player gear will probably be Jordan or LBJ brand, but that's the case at a lot of Nike schools. It's nothing unique or groundbreaking.

All of the on-field and on-court stuff will have the swoosh in 2015.

Amen! I do like "Pizzazzz" and all that junk but I really think we should stick to tradition when it comes to this. Maybe if they do it once a season with the Gray uniforms.

I hope not. We already have five. We don't need another one. Now when we officially switch over to Nike then who knows.

Any changes to the uniforms will have to be approved by the athletic department. Nike will no doubt throw around a few mock-ups, but I doubt it ends up looking anything like Oregon or Maryland. At least, I hope.

I talked to my friend over there and it sounds like there is no way we see a different helmet anytime soon. The helmets cost over $350 each and each player now has a practice and a game helmet. To expensive right now. I was also told the only jerseys we have Nike making are our traditional and the smokey grey.

I think they can swing it. Utah State has 2 versions of their helmet.

The black was super cool, and the grey was alright. If I had to pick one I would say black. The grey is easier to pull off but very bland in my opinion, but the black is intimidating and with hopefully a better season this year, we are going to need a game or two in black. Theme song "Back in Black"
But the helmet should never change, it just has to much history.

I think they can swing it. Utah State has 2 versions of their helmet.

I was told that right now no way. They just bought the practice helmets year before last.

It hurt enough seeing the grey's. UT doesn't need this. One of the few schools that doesn't.

I don't know. To me, HAVING Nike is cool and I'm sure many recruits like that. But our coaches telling recruits "Hey look look, we have Nike and they're going to make us the 'Oregon of the South'" make us seem kind of desperate and pathetic. JMO.

We're not going to have 50 uniform combinations, if that's what you're asking. It will be much the same as it is now.

I don't know what coaches are telling recruits, but don't read too much into it.
