I hope they never bring out those god awful grey uniforms again...They are bad luck...I don't give a damn if they are one of the schools colors they don't belong on any of UT's sports fields or courts....Orange and White and thats it.

Mercer sent out an email telling everybody to wear black. Not sure if that means they're going with the black jerseys or if they just want to differentiate from all the orange Tennessee fans will have on.

I'm too lazy to do the research, and figured your info may be better..what's the deal with the following? They seemed to have a great showing Friday, I'm hearing 9 or 10 bus loads on their way currently? It's not like they're right down the road, about the same distant to Raleigh as Knoxville.

Is this mostly like a student organized thing? And I have to wonder why Tennessee doesn't do similar.

It'll be a bunch of students as well as boosters. You've got to understand the timing of this. They haven't been to the tournament since 1985 and this is the culmination of a program that in 6 years has gone from playing in a 600 seat gym to a new arena with a large season ticket base and a group of 3-4 year starters that has been winning and everybody knows. People want to witness this firsthand.

I'd be up there myself if not for the fact that I'm hopping on a bus tomorrow with a bunch of 6 th graders headed to DC. :banghead2:

I'm still pulling for the good guys. I figure Mercer got their signature win. They don't need another one. :)

I'm definitely wanting to see if we can turn this into deep tournament run, but it will be hard for me to be upset if my hometown guys do something as ludicrous as going to the Sweet 16. This is a program that was once so bad that in high school we went to a game with bags on our heads.

I really hope more fans show up tomorrow evening. I was a little disappointed with our following Friday. Mercer fans easily drowned out the Blue Bloods.

Tough to get people to show up for a perceived first round mercy killing in those early sessions on a weekday. Can you imagine all the tickets that flooded the streets in Raleigh right after Duke lost?

We're wearing the regular whites, like we did against Iowa.

I have a feeling if we keep winning we won't see the alternate whites or grays anymore.

As an FYI - The official UT basketball Twitter account tweeted out a picture of our uniforms stating "today we will go to battle in these." The picture attached to the tweet was our standard white uniforms.

They are wearing the alternate whites

They're the white version of the smokey grays, they debuted against Missouri

Those aren't our "standard" whites, they're the version we've been wearing since Missouri, with the neon orange and Rocky Top stitches on the inside of the neck

No, we are wearing the standard whites, not the new white alternate.

The ones we wore against Missouri have "Volunteers" outlined in black on the front, which yes matches the Smokey Greys:

The ones we wore against Iowa (and wearing today) are the ones we wore most of the season at home:

Good catch, didn't think the old ones had the "Rocky Top" in the neck.

Wonder why we have ditched the "Made in March" jerseys.
