Yeah I guess they can use all that extra money to build a bigger trophy room since it's filling up so fast the last 10 years!

What he's saying is that our direct rivals hire top-notch coaches...we in turn hire coaches who have won 1 NIT game. Should work out well for us. Maybe Cuonzo can bring the "classy in defeat" attitude with him. Great, we've now turned in to Vandy.

could not have said it better

hard to win without a coach

Not sure what you mean by that, but just because you pay a guy a lot of coin doesn't mean he will be a winner. I'm all for paying a basic rate of some kind... maybe a little above average in the conference, and then if the guy brings an SEC title... he gets more. We don't need CEOs with platinum parachutes, we need winners with platinum handcuffs.

Kentucky pays their basketball more than the combined salaries of Tennessee's football and basketball's head coaches. Same goes for Alabama's football coach.

"A penny saved is a penny earned" says Ben Franklin. (Or did he say: "You get what you pay for"?

On that note they pay the players more than our staff combined........

Making salary a prime consideration is hiring coaches, it's only a matter of time before you strike out.
