Nice breakdown, welcome to VolNation! :hi:Here are my thoughts.........
Carolina (Jr.) learned some things in the Kentucky game about their big men and the ability of those big men to block shots. That being said, I think that you will not see as much help defense come to the slasher from the post, I think it will come from Carolina's guards. Thus, leaving one of our guards open at the top of the key.
1.) Slash to the basket from the wing (J.P.??)
2.) Make a S.C. guard slack down to help defend (Downey??)
3.) Kick out for a three (Maze?? Hopson?? Tatum?? Tyler??)
4.) Make the three...............
This will lead to making their bigs to HAVE TO defend the slasher, leaving a dump off to Wayne or Brian down low.
Let's go Cocks! Gonna be a GREAT game. I've seen many people on here (or another thread at least) say that the key for UT is to play fast and wear the Gamecocks down. Sorry to say it, but if they try that, it won't work for very long. SC is the fastest paced team in the SEC. The key for UT is getting SC's big men in foul trouble early and keeping a slow pace.
