Update on Jersey Numbers

That may be....I don't really know, I don't know how you know. I'm just saying that Summitt will play minimal minutes....you know, the final 35 seconds of the first few games of the season.

I know for a fact he sucks cause I've played against in HS. There are so many more players in Knoxville alone that deserve a chance to walk-on and actually be competitive against these guys in practice. I don't see how practicing against Tyler Summit is going to benefit these guys. Oh well.

Good grief people there is an article on govols from today about his desire to be a coach. This is a favor. Not something to have a cow about

You all are ridiculous. Who cares if he walked on!? He represents the team and the university way better than the 4 who were arrested. Take a chill pill.

I'm surprised that a thread about UT basketball has been focused exclusively on the one player listed that will never see the court.

Man I wish I would've gotten a Ramar Smith (12) jersey on sale after he got kicked off. They were as low as 12 bucks at Sports Seasons. I could make a killing off of them now. :banghead2:

I wouldn't be surprised if Sports Seasons had some old JaJuan Smith #2 jerseys, which will apparently be Goins's number this season.

I have no problem with Tyler Summit walking on, I do however have a problem with him being on the roster immedietly and already receiving a number. There is a whole team of walkons who are soley practice players and dream at getting that spot on the bench by their senior year and being on the roster and now that spot is being taken by a kid who would likely be the worst player on UTs practice squad.

Never watched him play haha so is he really THIS terrible?
Averaged around 2 or 3 points per game at Webb which is not even high level high school basketball. To put this in perspective Steven Pearl averaged 20 ppg and 10 rebounds in a higher classification

I have an idea....It may sound crazy...but....what IF.....we supported our players? I gotta believe that the fans of UK, KU, Duke, UNC, etc. show no hate towards their roster.

Just saying.....we could SUPPORT our players, you know, like a normal basketball powerhouse does.

No thanks - I don't really consider him one of our players - I was better in middle school at basketball than he is now.

He's taking away a spot from someone that actually deserves it - I think I'd rather our scholarship players practice against people who were actually half decent in high school rather than kids that only made the team because their last names.
