Wowzer!!!

I am basically counting Cornish and Cofer as Vols (just don't see him ending up elsewhere). You add Lyle and Looney to that class and you've got a top 10 class, if not top 5. I'm hoping for one of those 2, but ill gladly take both :)

Cornish already commited, didn't he?

That's an incredibly confusing system 24/7 uses. If you just look at the list, you see Alexander as 7, Looney 8, Lyle 15. Are you saying the tiny light gray numbers underneath the big, bold black numbers are the updated ranking?

Jerry Meyer tweeted out the updated rankings and that's what I clicked on...they're updating the composite rankings soon he said.

I was concerned about the 2014 class but I think it is gonna turn out alright. I think Cofer will be a Vol and he has huge potential and is a very underrated player. I hope we get Lindsey Tennessee, Providence, and Florida. I see no reason he wouldn't want to play early and closer to home which would mean Tennessee. Looney and Lyle are dream players getting either or both of those guys rockets 2014 into almost the same potential category as our hopes for next year's team. Regardless of how this finally plays out I think were gonna have a great class in 2014 didn't believe that a couple months ago looks like CCM has been working hard and has closed some ground on some players we need.

Good get in Cofer. 17 yo, looks and plays like a 25 year old. He'll be top 50-75 before the last rankings.

Malik Abu is going to be an incredible college player from day 1 IMO. He is blowing up even more right now on his AAU team. He likes Florida quite a bit. UConn outside chance.

I think Pascal Chukwu will turn out to be one of the biggest game changers in the class of 2014. Under the radar big time. I have seen the kid play several times at Fairfield Prep in Connecticut. IMO Any Top 25 caliber team/program in now would have a shot. This kid is going to be very very very special and an instant difference maker.

Chukwu would also come in with the coolest name in college basketbnall. :)

Aweful big kid to only have one big offer from Providence.(per 247)

Florida may very well pull the trifecta with team thad
It's very possible. Norris fits into our system well.

Black and Abu are similar prospects that we're in good position for. I'd love to take both but I don't know how realistic that is considering how similar the two are.

Pascal Chukwu breaks in at #58 finally on ESPN rankings. I like him better than Okafor who is #1 (basing that off a friends evaluation so all speculative and fun). Chukwu after putting on 15-20 pounds of muscle before his Freshman year in college could dominate often and early especially on defense (a total menace). His recruiting is on the down low but UConn has offered.

Tennessee could still go after this kid hard as his rankings for what they are worth should rise. Regardless look out!

Vols hanging in there on quite a few of those guys - Looney (9), Lyle (22), Lindsey (32), Ahmed Hill (33), Malik-Abu (44), Kaleb Joseph (51) still lists TN, Norris (64), Demery (82), still on Trayvon Reed's list (84). Cuonzo certainly is playing in the right neighborhood this year.

Seems like I remember Cofer was on this list last time it came out, but maybe not. Good start to recruiting with him and Cornish and good chance to finish strong, based on the remaining targets.

I really hope we get a big guy Hurt, Reed, Manderson further down the list. If we get another big guy, a point guard, and whomever will be a great class. We will have filled all our needs.

BTO when should we expect commitments out of Looney and Lindsey? And you think we have a good shot of getting at least one of them? Thanks man I usually stay in the football forums

Looney supposedly is gonna narrow his list to 5 in July, and I'm guessing with then take officials. So, it seems he will commit by the early signing period which is November.

Lindsey I have a feeling is going to hold off until spring, but that's just my opinion. He wants an offer from UNC or UK, and he likeky is gonna hold off until spring hoping to get one.

As for our chances, I think we are in Looney's top 3, but it will be a fight that's for sure. With Lindsey, if UK nor UNC offers then we have a pretty good chance, if either offers he's likely gone IMO. If you add Lyle to this list of 3 I feel confident we pull at least one of them.
