He also doesn't have Marshall on there. Its inevitable there will be attrition. I think we will see attrition at the WR position and Christmas if the LSU offer is legit.

There could be quite a few surprises on NSD with attrition. Derrick Brown and Mecole Hardman have high interest in UT and are both making their decision on NSD.

OL: Johnson, Tatum

DE: Okonya, Bonner
DT: Johnson, Someone we haven't heard of
LB: Hart, Bituli, Blakely
CB: Osbourne, King
S: Warrior, Williams

We need to take at least 3 OL in this class, maybe even 4. As we've seen with injuries this season, depth along the OL is critical.

I thought J. Williams did not have much interest in UT.

As far as we know, Z. Stewart is still planning to enroll in Jan. He and R. Johnson along with one other would make 3 for this class. That would also put us at 15 scholarship O-linemen for next year assuming there is no attrition. Admittedly, that's not the safest bet, but I think that's about where you want to be with the total number. If a current player leaves after this semester, you might try to add another OL. Otherwise, I don't think we need big numbers there. What we really need is time for the young guys to develop.

Doug Matthews said he was told by the staff that the number was 20.
I think its possible a couple players may be asked to blueshirt.

Vols really need a speed guy WR. The scary fast kind.. Also DTackles and OTackles.. Need those every yr

Agree. Forgot about Stewart. There's at least on current OL that should move on to clear up another spot, but I'm not dropping names.

The number is never actually 18 or 20 -- if they are really good we will take them and make the numbers work later imo. I will bet more than 20 - just not in our nature to only take 20.

We finish 9-4 including a big Outback Bowl victory over Michigan. This propels us to another top 10 recruiting class.

I was thinkng the same thing. And D4H can get excited all he wants but its almost an impossibility that we land the top three recruits out of Georgia (Brown, Davis, Hardman). I think we will be lucky to land one of them.
