IMO we finish up with this in no particular order:

Jackson
Loften
Clear
Richardson
Lanier
Dawson
Rome
Wilder
Mackey- Possibly
Hill

minor changes though. all star game kids can get bumps or drops.... that is about all at this juncture

Normally yes...but after the last update Farrell admitted they weren't able to re-evaluate as many prospects as the would have liked and that they would be "going to all star games and watching as much film as possible" between then and the next update....

I think we'll see several changes in the next update

I cannot for the life of me understand why people get so hyped up over what rivals and scout think about kids.

Because their opinions mean EVERYTHING... You can't win championships unless they bless your roster... Don't you know anything?:whistling:

Do you not get tired of posting the same ole tune? I know I sure do get tired of reading it in every thread.

That's right Thunder and the specifically mentioned that they didn't have a chance to reevaluate Randolph and watch his Senior film, which means he is still being ranked on his pre JR injury film.

He will get a massive bump I believe (5.9 range)

But I honestly think he and Jordan Williams are our only ones.:hi:

I will.... as soon as I stop hearing the same ol' tune from those who put way too much stock in what the recruiting svcs say. Or... maybe when the griping about 3* commits stops. I am quite certain that those two groups have been more tiresome to folks like me than I have to you.

If you don't want to read it... my best advice is... DON'T. But the fact that you responded indicates that in some sense you wanted to read it.

+1000.

If the recruiting services disappeared today, it would not be too soon.

But it's realistic that we don't get any of them? We will not sign Loften, Lanier ,and Moore. If Loften is in, then it is Lanier or Moore with the preference being Moore.

Completely untrue, Lanier and Moore play different positions and both are takes if we can get them.

Hubbs has said as much. We will close with a RB, a TE or two (depending on if you view Clear as a TE), Richardson (god willing), and the best 5 defensive players we can get.

I had us getting Rome,Clear, and Hill, so I don't have us completely striking out. I think we are in good shape with Richardson and it is likely that we get him but I am going with a gut feeling and I feel like he either fails to qualify or goes Bama. Dawson I pray we get but we have a lot of work left to do with him, and everyone else mentioned we trail with, except maybe Jackson who I still do not get a great vibe off of lately.

Williams and Randolph for sure...I don't see any other current commit getting bumped...

But...of players that I think we'll land...I see Moore and Jackson getting bumped to 4*

I also see Worley and Saulsberry moving to 5.7's and into the position rank range (top 25 of pro-style QB's for Worley, top 50 of DT's for Saulsberry) that allows them to add some points to our score

Smith could possibly get a bump.

Smith could possibly get a bump.

I wouldn't count on it...

They've already seen his senior film and he's not playing in any all star games that I'm aware of so there won't be a chance for him to bump after a great performance in one of those...

I think the ship has sailed on his 4*

100% correct.

Isn't Byron Moore already a 4 star? I am confused:banghead2:

Just saw he isn't, doh!

If the recruiting services disappeared today, we wouldn't be getting half the information we get on here.

True.

However I think the point was more about their rankings and ratings. If those disappeared or changed significantly then it would hurt nothing.

I would like to see them have the guts to rank more kids highly. They rate them knowing they will miss many. Limiting the number of 4-5* they award gives them a cushion so they can claim accuracy.

You're probably right. Just every Rivals article I've seen on him has been very positive lately but it goes right along with the Worley situation. JW has all the awards and recognition he can get but still Rivals continues to hold firm in their stance.

I will make a prediction. If some of Dooley's 2* and 3* recruits start really showing out next fall then the recruiting svcs will start showing more favor to his '12 commits and prospects.

I may be wrong, but Moore last I heard was being recruited at CB just like Lanier.

They both have the size to play either spot, but regardless of where either projects I can say with near certainty that they are both takes if we can get them. We have 5 players who have proven they can play the 4 secondary spots coming back next year, and that is generously including Eric Gordon as one of the 5. We need a minimum of 3 immediate contributors in the secondary, and I am not sure that we have that in Randolph, Coleman, Martin and Loften.

Do we get both? I do not know. But imo I don't see us turning either one away.

We aren't taking both. Moore is the one we want and if we don't get him than Lanier is a guy we will take. We have Teague, Gordon, Waggoner, Jackson, Brewer (and how is it generous to include Gordon, who has immense talent and was just a first year player?). Then we have Loften, Randolph, Martin, Coleman, and Thomas already committed. That makes 10. With needs at other places, and players that we are in great shape with, we will not be adding 2 more.
