Signing with UK was probably the biggest reason for Kanter's sudden #3 ranking.

No evaluation could have been done by Rivals. Otherwise there would have been some mention of him before last month if he was the #3 player in the country.

Yeah, Selby went to Kansas instead of UT. He must be really good. The same can't be said for Tobias.

Harris IS WAYYY better then Selby by atleast a Mile.
See his stats in the first half of the Mcdonalds game?

makes me sick thinking that we had the #1 player in the class committed at one point...

I see Luke Cothron at no. 45 still lists us with Medium consideration, along with Connecticut, and Kentucky. Says KY has not offered. He lists Auburn as High though. Wonder if there is any chance he might change his mind and choose us, and is Bruce still recruiting him? 6' 8" - 210 lbs. Profile says he is primarily a low post scorer. That would give us 3 in the top 50, and 1 at no. 63.

The general consensus is that Rivals basketball ratings are pieces of ish. Scout is the way to go when determining basketball prospect ratings.

Van Coleman and Adam Zagoria are probably the best.

The worst being Marc Maggard.

Me too, but does anybody think he'd be #1 had he stayed committed to UT the whole time, rather than being the highest-profile, uncommitted recruit entering the Spring signing period.

That's hilarious. Let's compare players on one half of an all-star game. Do you see anybody mentioning Tobias as a potential top-10 pick next year?

From what I have heard that Barbee has Cothron. Things could change though. You never know.

did you not see he was on his way to MVP while Selby was warming his seat on the bench?

Totally baseless comment. First of all, the first half of a glorified pick up game isn't a basis to compare a forward to a guard. Second of all, wait until the draft next June and reevaluate your statement.

Memphis Kicked our butts recruiting, With a unknown coach. WOW Pearl better get on the ball.

Not sure what circle you run in, but Pastner is not unknown in the college game, ESPECIALLY among big name recruits. D you think Cal pulled all those players into Memphis by himself? Pastner is a hell of a recruiter.
