Updated Rivals 2018 Team Recruiting Rankings

We should have 8-10 5 stars committed by now and 7 or 8 four stars. We know that most of the highly rated kids don't want to take their visits in the summer and fall and want to commit to a school by spring time.

Legion of the miserable is a great name for this fanbase. I think a good 20% of the people on here, and just Tn fans in general, aren't happy unless they're b****ing about something. It's disgusting really.

Don't even put me even close to the negavol category buddy. I'm one of the biggest vol fans you will ever meet & a VFL. I'm just giving an opinion & also providing some facts.

Not arguing with all of you that want to disagree with me. This is how I feel & whether some of you all want to admit it or not we are behind the 8 ball. Like I also did say though hopefully that will change come the O&W game or shortly thereafter. If not, then something crazy is going on.

We have all these 4* & 5* recruits pulling the trigger for OSU, Miami, Notre Dame, & such but we have none of those in the 4*-5* range except for what we already had which was 2 recruits.

We have recruits visiting right & left bragging greatly about their visit to Knoxville but they won't pull the trigger. Just seems a little odd to me. What are they scared of or should I say what are we doing wrong? Thanks guys.

We could have a class of 15 5 stars and 10 4 stars and 25 percent of VOL NATION would itch.:banghead2:You can buy spray for the itching.:)

I bet by the time NSD comes around there class will be 1 or 2 in the country like always don;t seem fair.:banghead2: I got a gut feeling our class will be top 10 if we win 8 games if we go 6 and 6 the elite won't come and we will be around 20 we got to have a good season to take the heat of coach Jones if we have bad season make the change with all the running down the coaching staff thats got to affect the recruiting you know a top recruit don't want to hear that the coach that is recruiting might not be there will not come to the school its time coach Jones makes a stance prove you can coach in the SEC or go get a job at a MAC School not calling for his head but its time to show VOL NATION what he has just that simple this is year 5 no more excuses you can't blow 10 plus point leads against top teams or lose a game to SC and Vandy with a SUGAR BOWL BIRTH OR THE SEC EAST ON THE LINE HAPPENS AGAIN ITS TIME TO GO new AD bring in his own coach.:ermm:

Miami already with 16 recruits? Penn State & Notre Dame tied at #3rd with 12 recruits while we set with only 4 at this time? Northwestern & LSU set at tied for #2 alone with 13 recruits.

A bad P5 like Kansas has 7 in comparison to our 4. Western Michigan has 7. Wake Forest has 6. Northern Illinois has 5. UTSA(Texas-San Antonio) also has 4 & even tied with us. If you're human & a VFL then some real concern has to be setting in. I don't care if NSD is nearly 10 months away.

Admit it or not folks but we're way behind the 8 ball in recruiting for 2018. Hopefully this weekends O&W game will bring around 3-5 commits or more would be nice but we need some 4*'s & hopefully another 5* star commit as well.

This could bring us up to where we should be if this was to happen. I'm just not real confident that this will happen though. Thanks.

Having kept up with college fb recruiting since we've been able to, I and others who're old like me are noticing how much later the top-notch, highest rated 4 and 5* fellas are holding out on signing until close-to-or-on NSD. Why? Parties, dudes. Get real here. Now, for those of you negas; you boys whose heads are still up your arses, Butch Jones knows how to recruit. Naturally you'll deny it, but Coach Jones likely has some hooks in a decent number of those young studs mouths. Hey. I really like this 2017 bunch he's rounded up; far better than those subjective ratings have placed them. OK. It's time for the but-but-buts in 3...2...1...:cray:

If Emerson or Litaker would commit, I think others would follow. In-state recruits seem to be watching and waiting. Peer recruiting would help get them off the fence.

Wait....I just went and looked at his link. We're 22nd with 4 recruits and Tony is bit**ing? Simply amazing.

ESPN has us at 19 with only 4 recruits.
