Honestly, when you refer to him as "Hussein" it distracts from, and in a lot of respects drowns out, the point you are making about spending.

We get that a number of people don't consider him to be legitimate. But at this point you and your fellowship on that issue just aren't going to convert anyone and all you do is undermine your credibility and distract form your real arguments by constantly referring to it.

i do consider him a legitimate president. I call him Hussein because he does have more of a bond with islam than he does with America and Christianity.

That being said, we're beyond fixing. our debt will never go down and it will be the ruin of our once great country.

he goes to church. Have you ever known him to regularly attend a mosque?

I disagree.

how are we going to change our course? what evidence do you have from this regime that he's going to slow spending.

he'll be reelected and he'll not stop spending, then next 4 years he'll focus more on centralizing power and side stepping congress and more of our liberties will be lost.

financially, we'll have adjusted to the 8-10% unemployement as the norm, just as we've gotten used to 3.50-4.00 gas. regulations and the coming tax increases will hinder any future growth and our wages will continue to be stagnent against rising prices.

when obamacare starts after his 2nd term, we'll see healthcare prices explode and further loss of income.

America's time is short, it's just a matter of when.

it's not about attending church or mosque. his childhood was spent living in a muslim population, this would be his most influencial years. he wasn't influence while living in America. personally, i don't think he's a Christian or muslim, he's more humanist than anything.

I get the reason for the flat tax and absolutely agree with it. Simplification is the answer in my book as well. I've just never bought the notion that someone should pay a larger percentage simply because they are successful at making a larger income. But, I recognize the point that implementing it all at once could be seen as a hardship on those with lower incomes, so a system that adjusts the rates over a number of years until they all equal out is probably the only way to go. In the end it seems to me that having everyone pay the same percentage removes a large point of friction between economic groups. Sort of like we all get one vote, we all pay 10%, etc.

The misguided idea that drives the progressive system is the thought that those making the most financially have benefited the most from the government that they're paying into. It's utter crap, but that's how the liberal lot sells it.

when will people stop complaining about gas prices. We've been spoiled forever - the rest of the world pays double what we pay.

so since I attended church while growing up I'm automatically a christian?

he also moved to the US at 10yo so unless 0-10yo is when you form your political ideas your statement is ridiculous

no, i don't believe that. as i said i don't believe hussein is a Christian or moslem.

in his book he said he recalls the sounds of the muslim prayers while running through the street.

if you don't think that his family "encouraged" him to learn the islamic religion while he was living there, you truly are naive PJ

how in the hell are you trying to rationalize idiotic euro taxation? Just because the rest of the world has bought into that silliness doesn't mean it's the way to be.

and learning it means what exactly? As I said above, I learned the Christian religion at the same age so does that automatically make me a Christian? I can recite verses and sing hymns from memory so it must be true

Agree. My kids attend an inner-city public school where nearly 90% get free/reduced breakfast and lunch, free tutoring, free/reduced after school care etc. My income is too high to "qualify" for these government "benefits" yet I'm benefiting more from the government so I should pay a higher percentage of what I earn? This is what doesn't make sense.

Is it not a viable way to help lower our debt? Obviously paying more sucks.

They do that shat here and it is ridiculous. There was recently an article about them shuttling kids to the freakin' eye doctor and back. WTF?

no, doing that doesn't make you a true Christian but it can influence your behavior and your morals. Hussein doesn't know what made this country great. He sees this country as a country who needs more social justice and that means more government and less liberties.

as i said, hussein isn't a Christian or muslim, he's a humanist if anything.

Obama is a Muslim ? Really? We are still having that debate?

Sigh.

who said he's a muslim? he relates more with the muslim religion than he does Christianity. if anything he's a humanist.

either way, the fact is our debt is beyond control and there is no end to the spending. we could have the most conservative Christian in office and the debt will only rise. we're witnessing the sunset of our once great nation.

you do everything you can to associate him with it. Claiming that's not your intention is a lie

honestly I blame the public education system

I don't know what his religion is, he's not a Christian that's for sure. I associate him with muslims to the fact that his policies have done much to destroy this country liberties. his foreign policies have an obvious bias toward the muslim religions.

I agree, the government school system is really done it's job in making and keeping Americans ignorant when it comes to this country's economic problems. better they teach kids how to masturbate than teach economic 101.
