Herman responds....
Tom Herman appears to have no interest in engaging in a war of words with his former boss, Urban Meyer, after the Ohio State coach was critical of the new Texas boss earlier Thursday.
After hearing that Herman suggested the Longhorns' season-opening defeat was indicative of the program he inherited, Meyer quickly replied by calling it "a new generation of excuse."
When asked for his reply, Herman opted to focus on the task at hand with Texas.
"I don't have any. I don't have time to worry about comments made by somebody else about their program," Herman said, according to Max Olson of The Athletic. "I'm worried about our program and winning a game. Anybody that's been around me and our staff for the last 10 months knows we've never disparaged the previous staff or our current players."
