Urban Meyer will coach spring football

Dang, that is harsh.

Explain to me how it's wrong. A month ago, for 24 hours, his health problems were so overpowering and serious that they were going to force him out of one of the two or three best jobs in college football. 18 hours later, he was down to a leave of absence. Now he's not even going to miss spring practice. In other words, NOTHING IS REALLY WRONG. Please explain to me some other scenario, outside of Tebow laying hands on Meyer and healing him, in which Meyer's whole resignation/leave of absence/non-leave of absence is anything other than a drama queen move worthy of a high school goth girl.

Just read an AP article on my homepage that says CUM is feeling healthier. Says he's gained 20 pounds and tests are coming back positive. I reckon the Lane Train leaving was medicinal. Says he may take some time off after NSD and during spring practice. Old news there but still an update. I never believed the man from day one.

Golly bill, he must have had some SERIOUS health issues for him to be coaching spring ball now. And having his wife convinced far enough that she says "He will NOT unretire". Poor guy. I hope he wasn't too sick....give me a break :disappointed:

A high school goth girl that has owned the vols while they were being led by a cocky, spoiled preppy and an easygoing, plump votech attendee.

His only "crime" has been raising the hopes of rival fans who thought he was gone and then realizing that with some rest, improved care of his health, and delegation of some of his responsibilities, he would be able to continue doing what he loves. Gator fans are perplexed, but fine with the whole episode at the end of the day.

The crime will be if Addazio puts "University of Florida Head Coach" on his revised resume.

Keep crying that he's a liar. That tells Gator fans that rivals are "afraid" and much more.

Fear Meyer is still the coach.

BTW, CDD seems to be hitting the ground running and doing well. Patience, my friends.

I said it as soon as the retirement turned leave of absence, it was a successful ploy to get all of the sports agencies to run a story on 'how great a coach he was (is)' and to pry favorable comments from coaches he recruits against. Those clips and comments would then be used for recruiting.
Nothing has happened to disprove this theory as of yet.
Meyer is still working (and supposedly feeling better than he has in years - UPDATE now is going be coaching the spring practices), and this year's recruiting speaks for itself.

Nothing has happened to prove this theory, either.

As time passes it's clear Meyer made a rushed decision to stop coaching. It was an emotional decision based on what appeared to be a very serious medical condition. It appears now that Meyer has complete information about his medical issues from trained professionals who know more than the good people here at volnation.com.

Some here proudly proclaimed Meyer quit because he's afraid of Kiffin. Turns out Kiffin was afraid of playing in a man's conference.

Then some said was a master plan by Meyer to salvage what was supposed to be a shrinking recruiting class of kids who were all contemplating jumping ship. UF's recruiting class looks pretty damn good right now.

Now it's a publicity stunt to garner sympathy and attract attention to a program that's won 13 games in consecutive years and two national titles in the last four years.

Take a step back an consider just how ridiculous these conspiracy theories sound. Now I know nothing lasts forever, and there's no guarantee Meyer stays at UF for any length of time. But you have to admit the majority of you guys have been dead ass wrong about this entire situation.

I take it you've been privy to Meyer family conversations on this issue sine he changed his mind and decided to come back and coach.

Yea I think it went something like this

"Honey, I know I said I wanted to quit coaching because I missed out on your entire life, but I tried it for a day and a half and it just wasn't working out. "

"**** you dad"
That must be why recruiting seems to be going so well.

Hope divorce court and alimony go as well as recruiting.

What a drama queen. Urby was feeling all left out on the media attention that Lame was getting and decided to do something that screams "look at me". The guy brings a new definition to the word tool.
