Every recruit that is rated as #1 should produce as freshmen. Look at Adrian Peterson, Ted Ginn, Ernie Sims and so forth. It's not a suprise they made an impact as freshmen. It's pretty obvious why they were rated this high.

Is it UT's fault that they don't get a guy like Peterson? He was from Texas. The only colleges in the running were Texas and Oklahoma. Or Ginn? He's from Cleveland and went to Ohio State. Ernie Sims was from Florida and went to FSU.

Where is Harvin from? :ermm:

it is quite ironic that when i first moved up here, everyone was trashing him and his behavioral problems. now he's a hero.

Apparently when you are a repeat offender and also bump a ref when arguing a call, yes.

Well... at least he can back up the talk.

Anyways, you asked earlier if it was Phil's fault that we don't have these type of players coming to Tennessee. I would say that to a certain extent it is a blemish on his recruiting ability. But then I think back to Jamal Lewis... :ermm:

We've probably had a decent number of players come through Knoxville that could have made impacts early (if they were given the chance).
