His quote:"In October" or "by October"?
He sat out last year as a redshirt and never played at ASU, common sense would let him play this year. I know we are dealing with the NCAA where common sense goes out the window, so you never know. It would suck to make the kid sit 2 straight years.
I think it would definitely factor in if he played or not last year. We are asking for a waiver to the rule so the NCAA would take into account a number of factors in granting that waiver. I think it is about 90% he gets to play but the NCAA will make us wait on it.Not really. It doesn’t matter if he played or not. If he doesn’t get a waiver around the rule by rule he has to sit out
I don’t follow any players on Twitter. And that’s a good thing.Yeah, just ignore that pic going around of him and his new, longer hair. Ignore the post UT's Twitter account made of just him.
Stop trying to rile things up for the sake of doing so.

hyperbole is bad mmkay. the fact he didn't play last year was not likely the driving factor in Burns getting eligibility but I guarantee it played a non 0 part in him getting a waiver. If you didn't play that year it definitely helps your case.Barnes was “helpful”in the process and moving back close to home was used as the reason for the transfer
Had zero to with him not playing last year

I think if Plavsic played last year and NCAA knows he has a redshirt year still available, they would likely say he uses his redshirt year to sit out and plays next year. I don't know who decides waivers and what all they consider but to just say him not playing has no part seems unlikely. Maybe Bruin is in the room when transfer waivers are being discussed at NCAA. If so I will concede. If not his guess is no better than mine.
Since you have been involved in the process, would you say NCAA is always consistent with their rulings and always follow the letter of the law each time?
You said ncaa is not always consistent and then said how important a good company liane department/lawyer is. I wonder if this lawyer would advocate on behalf of the player. Maybe bring up mitigating factors in behalf of the player. Something like he redshirted last year. Just a thought.Of course not
The only consistent thing I see is you need a great compliance department/lawyer, a coach that cooperates and a reasonable reason for the transfer.
If the coach isn’t helpful the lawyer/compliance director better be worth their salt.
In Burns Case he had a very helpful coach that didn’t throw him under the bus.

I’ll drop it now since it is not worth arguing about.
