Random thoughts -

I just don't see all three of those team from the old Big 12 South being that good. One will tumble. Given my hatred of Sherman, I'll go with A&M. (Sorry TX.)

LSU/Oregon is about as good of a week 1 showdown as you can ask for.

ND, Auburn, and Florida are all ifys to me. Then again, I don't know who I would replace them with wither.

Highest ranked Big 10 team is #10? Ouch.

My top 2...

#6 Stanford
New HC, Def Coord, and OC plus some key losses, particularly on defense. Schedule is in their favor w/ UO, UW, CAL, & ND at home. However, difficult road gms at UA and USC. Just don't see the Cardinal ranked this high...Pre-Season, and certainly in the final Poll.

#7 Boise State
Sept 3 gm at Georgia will reveal much for both teams. Gone is their OC. Other than that the team returns most everyone, including Kellen Moore at QB but not his go-to WR's Pettis and Young. BSU hasn't lost at home since 1998 but AF and TCU may end that run in 2011. Too, I expect Neveda, @Fresno St, and @SDSU to test the Broncos.
Will there be another BCS run in 2011? NIMO.

Should be a good one. Interested to see how this Oregon team will respond after the recent off-season "Recruiting" controversy involving HCCK.

1. Surprised Duke isn't on. Did Spurrier forget to vote?
2. Auburn and ND don't belong anywhere near that list.

I was told they asked him to (made him) stop doing that in his preseason poll voting. I feel he really stopped doing it a few years back

ND should finish top 25. Though, they are starting their worst quarterback, in my opinion.

Their O-line is still young, but they started like... all of them as Freshman last year, right? I don't recall.

I think they can surprise people. They won't make a BCS bowl game, but I'd say their pre-season is about their end of season ranking.

I guess we'll see.

Sad thing is, ND can go 10-2...losing to 2 of the 4 (USC/Stanford/Michigan/Mich State) or have an upset loss and STILL get the at-large bid to a BCS bowl and get their butts' whooped.

Which is why it's confusing that people still defend the BCS. It's a corrupt and unfair system.

Disagree. They're young, super talented, and have a year of experience. They're worthy of at least consideration.
No QB and no speed at DB...two big killers in the BIG XII-II. Should be another long year for Mack.
