Be aware that the team that's "mediocre", "also rans in their own conference", "middle of the pack", "never going to be good enough", is ranked 8th.

More specifically....look at the teams voted above us. Air Force? Houston? Hawaii?? South Florida? UCF?? And one vote below us Southern Miss?? I feel the love.

When was the last time you guys were ranked in the top 10 AFTER a season? Looks like the last meaningful bowl game that you guys won was the 87 Cotton Bowl. that's been awhile.

Gripe much? Tejas is down, Nebraska left, and you play in the big 12. 3 teams in the SEC West could win your conference. You would not be ranked that high if you were added to the SEC W dude.

Beat the Gators and we will be ranked. We have to prove ourselves before we will get recognized. Let's go win some games this year. GBO.

I can't really question it if the majority opinion is 7-5. Air Force has an outside shot at 10 wins, Houston a chance to go undefeated, Hawaii...eh, USF might go 8-4 or something, UCF is getting respect for last season, and USM should go undefeated with their pathetic schedule.

Because this thread was totally started about your team.

I'd have to say this is my biggest qualm with the guy. The OP didn't state that this thread was about Texas A&M, yet TXVOL decides it's a good idea to make every thread on VN about the Aggies. You can do that. Just don't expect it to be a popular thing.

A team on NCAA probation with post season ban should not be allowed to be voted for. Thats BS USC is ranked 25th, when they can they cant figure in the final poll anyway

These rankings tick me off. It has little to do with which teams are really the strongest, just which ones are expected to have the best record through the year.

Is Boise the 5th strongest team in the country? Give me a break. Take a look at their schedule, after Georgia. It's absolutely nothing but cupcakes, the whole way through. I have a hard time deciding who their biggest challenge will be. Air Force? Colorado State? If we had their schedule we'd be ranked I guarantee you.
