I'm glad to see Cal drop BUT didn't Washington almost beat USC, too? Washington needs some credit for hanging tough.:salute:
If Washington could have just pulled out two or three of these nail biters, then I would be winning my bet with Hatvol...:ermm:

:eek:k:Yep, that was probably it. Last week when Tennessee was ranked ahead of Florida, the pollsters all made hasty decisions, but THIS WEEK the pollsters have obviously taken their time. :acute:

Ah, the sarcasm. Ok, ok. You're right. This time they just didn't think you are that good. I guess I have to concede your point. Well done and thanks for straightening that out for me.

I think Florida jumped in part because your game was closer than expected and because pollsters probably making up for voting you ahead of us last weekend without thinking it through. Enough went, "Oh, right" when it was pointed out that Florida has beaten you.

Doesn't matter. Still early.

You're right it doesn't matter....most CFB fans know that the AP is a better poll

LOL, not THAT debate now, right?

Oh, well. Florida and UT both have interesting match-ups this weekend. It is officially Florida-Georgia week!!

If I were I gator fan, I would be brimming with optimism. The dawgs are somewhere between weak and quite weak.

Nah, going to South Florida to catch up with family and friends. I'm not one to go into that mess, anyway. I'll enjoy it from comfy sofa.

How about Notre Dame and Cal getting dropped for near misses? That tells me that despite popular opinion, the coaches aren't quite convinced they are for real.

I believe that is what happened to ND. Too many close games. But, I disagree with Cal. I think that coaches wanted to reward Clemson for that big win..and Cal fell victim to that.

They have lost three straight, and are .500 right now. You have to give UDub some credit though, for this season. Ty Willingham is starting to right the ship in Seattle. The clock ran out on them when they were trucking on a drive to beat USC, and they took Cal to overtime. Both times on the road. Last couple years, that team would have just rolled over and let USC or Cal put up 50 points.

agreed, ty willingham is a very very good coach, that just does not get it done in nd land, i thought he was right at home in a more sophisticated venue such as stanford, no offense to irish fans, after the vols they are #2, but willingham was under appreciated. as to the polls, forget about it, just please beat spurrier and scaro...go vols

Well, Washington is also a sophisticated venue. Most of the Pac-10 schools are very good academic institutions, though.

I suspect that Mark Richt has made sure his team deliberately lost to us and Vandy and that they continued to look weak yesterday, all as part of an ingenious ploy to avoid tipping his hand and set up the annihilation of UF this coming Saturday. Beware Lawgator, it's time for the REAL Georgia Bulldogs to show up...I pity the gators in this one...:)

if that was the way Richt planned it, he's pretty stupid.

I'd have beat UT, then lost to Vandy and Miss. State, then beat Florida down. Everyone would have 2 losses and UGa would own the tiebreaker with UT and UF.

But that's just me.
