USA Today nod to the Vols

This will carry more weight with the committee than what Cal said IMO. A lot more.

Isn't part of the process besides the record the fact how a team is playing now .If so that would bode well for us

Unfortunately that's not a factor in the decision process but we do have some really good wins, Florida and Vandy. I would imagine 2 wins and we're in barring a bunch of teams that weren't in winning their conference title

Say UT makes it to the final game, is that enough for an at-large bid? I think there is no way the NCAA can keep UT out if they make it to the finals -that would be a win against Ole Miss and either MSU or Vandy...That would have to be enough right? When you consider this team didn’t come together until after Christmas I don’t think there is any way you can keep them out of the field.

Maybe, what we got to hope is the Mid Major Tourney's go chalk so there are only 1, 2 at the most teams coming out of their leagues and that there are no major surprises in major conference Tourney's. The idea here is that no one gets in through the league toyrney's that would not have gotten in anyway. Of course the best thing is that someone gets KY on a down night (FL or AL) and knocks them out on the other side of the SEC bracket. If the Cats get to the Finals no one beats them; they'll be smelling blood. Only chance to get them is for some semi-talented team - maybe Bama gets them on a night their sleep walking. Long shot but it happens. I like Vols against anyone in the SEC with exception of KY. Hate to say so but KY may have the best team anyone has seen a decade or more.
