From Bruce Fieldman.... Am told by multiple sources Steve Sarkisian showed up in no condition to work today & #USC brass knows he needs serious help.

In his defense, I wouldn't have been able to make it to USCs practice today either. Celebrating the VOLS win had me up late too.

Thoughts and prayers.

We all have an embarrassing story that involves booze. But our boss does not know aboout it. When it gets to that point, it is beyond embarrassing & becomes something to involve physicians.

My heart breaks for Coach Sarkisian & his family. People are more sympathetic with cancer than this; it is the same.

Wow this my cost Steve and Pat their jobs when it's all said and done. It's just a bad situation for everyone involved.

I think so too..lots of talk from Washington that this was a widely known problem that the search group should have uncovered.

I am not sure if this was a serious post so I hesitate to respond to it but if it was... you can't possibly believe that alcoholism is the same thing as cancer. Sarkisian's problem is self inflicted, the majority of cancer patients (non-smokers) did not play an active role in their plight.

He's gone! The good thing for USC is the drunkenness probably voids any buyout he might have had.

Think the crux of it is, they're both a disease that can kill and take a toll on families.

I hate this for a multitude of reasons. When it first came out that he had a few to many making a booster speak, I hoped that it was just one of those things where he felt a little pressure from boosters and had one to many. If he has passed out on a plane, or had to get pulled from a huddle, it must be serious. I have some experience with a family with both parents alcoholic. Lot's of heartbreak and damage in those families. Let's hope that he get's help and can stay sober in the future.
