I am not sure if this was a serious post so I hesitate to respond to it but if it was... you can't possibly believe that alcoholism is the same thing as cancer. Sarkisian's problem is self inflicted, the majority of cancer patients (non-smokers) did not play an active role in their plight.

Had two buddies processed out of the AF for alcoholism. Saw the beginning when they started having A beer after duty... Then a six pack then a case ... Saw the end when I had to say good luck as they left base. They weren't drunks when I met them...they had to drink to become so. It's clinically diagnosed as a disease but as someone who lost a spouse to cancer, I "pray for your sake" YOU never find out the distinction.
