I have some connections at USC (im not a Guru by any measure) and I think that the NCAA hammer is gonna fall on SoCal pretty soon. That being said, I also think that we wont benefit (or will benefit little) this recruiting class from the coaching change. Most of the Trojan recruits are from Cali. or are west coasters. I think if we are extremely lucky we may get one. IMO

Prater is probably the only legit shot we get. Wright is a Trojan no matter what. Washington will probably be the major benefactor from this if Sark stays there.

I am not so sure. I think we may have a outside shot at Uko... Who IMO is a future 1st rounder... If I could pick two I would pick Prater and Uko...

Blue Tick on VQ called Uko months ago and yea I know he is usually full of crap but I have a feeling Coach O has given the kid a call. It will be interesting to see if his name comes up about a visit in the next few weeks....

If any of what I read is correct ..... 5 years on probation (no bowl games) and 10 or more lost scholorships along with extreme scrutiny with any further recruiting ..... If I am a USC commit, I'm backing out and going to the SEC or if I want to stay closer to home then Oregon and Washington are looking real good at this time.

Tennessee isn't a factor with Uko.

Obviously they have a shot with Prater. That's about it for this class.

They might end up with a transfer or two from USC before all is said and done though. You never know.

Baxter mentioned TN at the AAA Game also and Prater is tight with him. Those two would be more than huge for this class if it were to actually jump out of my fairy tale riddled mind and into reality!!!!

If Baxter has serious interest he needs to set up an official ASAP. Tennessee doesn't have many officials left that aren't already accounted for.

Baxter will not leave Cali, that you can pretty much count on. When they started talking about how much he loves surfing I knew we were out of it.

Yeah I dont really see any way he leaves the West Coast. Same for almost all of USC's other West Coast commits.

D.J. Morgan's quote from USC.com:

"It's sad to say, but SC had a lot of players who were planning on committing at (the Army All-American Bowl)," Morgan said. "Most of them are saying that they don't want to come now if Pete Carroll isn't there."

No joke!!! I hope he comes along with Prater and his father this weekend and they are somehow convinced to commit together... How much fun that would be!!! Imagine if Prater + Baxtor= Offensive Commits for UT from AAA Game and then Smith + Dixon + Willis= Defensive Commits for UT from AAA Game and to top it off Palardy= Special Teams for UT at AAA Game. We would have been well represented there this year. Not to mention seemed like every kid that chose a school during the game had Tennessee in their final group even if they didn't ultimately choose us in the end.

Would you leave the west coast beaches, and all those hot women out there??? Would be hard for me and I really love Tennessee... Women out there take DA** good care of themselves, not to many 10 chins like here..

Somebody buy him a Kayak. More fun than surfing and you don't have to worry about sharks. Lots of good rivers around here.

I dont think it matters where he goes hes going to find gorgeous women anywhere.

And I would take a Southern Belle over any Cali princess anyday.

I heard about the surfing too but, really with sanctions coming down the pike and a new coaching staff, rebuilding (if there is such a thing ever necessary at USC) time, uncertainty, compared to a well connected in california staff, some of the best recruiting coaches in the game, a team that plays in the conference that consistently produces year in and out 1) Most NFL talent 2) Heisman Winners 3) National Championships 4) More bowl eligible teams than any other conference 5) More bowl wins than other conferences most years 6) Now with the ESPN contract he'll have plenty of national tv exposure 7) Not too mention one of the best NFL prep programs anywhere 8) And nobody knows what kind of offense will be instituted next at USC because noone knows who will be the next coach, loss of schollies, no bowl potential for a while, and probation in near future at USC along with a comparatively weak conference>>>> Surfing.... IMO anyway...

I think Baxter played at the Same High School as Arian Foster. So UT would be a name he has been hearing coming up. If the parents meet with Kiffin's and Coach O in San Antone we may get a visit out of him... We shall see.
