Maryland hates this development as they now are competing with USC in coaching search.

USC>Maryland

Though Maryland is better job than many realize.

I heard some things are stirring down in Oxford but who knows if anything will come of it. Anyway, Freeze is a Mississippi man and Ole Miss is his "dream" job...I doubt the LA lifestyle is a draw for he and his family. I doubt he'd be interested. I don't see Freeze ever leaving the South, I personally wouldn't blame him.

When I heard yesterday Sark, got a leave of absence, due to his issues with Alcohol. I thought USC was doing the right thing. He obviously needs help, and USC supporting him thru the process of recovery would have done a lot more for him, than firing him..

I wish him well, on his road to recovery and health

Normally, I'd hate it for a program to have to suffer that much turmoil within a few years time, but it sure looks like they are getting a heavy dose of what they gave to us, by going after Kiffin, when he had only been here one season and we were making progress.

I was never a big Kiffin fan, when we were searching for a HC....I wanted Peterson or Gary Patterson (who REALLY wanted the job at the time), but I have to admit, the program did seem headed in the right direction prior to his sudden departure.

What kind of program pursues a HC that has only one year at their current location? You know uprooting him is going to throw that program into utter turmoil for the next few years. The sh!ite stain they left on this program is now all over theirs. Poetic justice.

I actually feel badly for this man.
He needs help.
He apparently is in the middle of a divorce, started drinking heavily, and now he lost his job.
I hope he has counseling. This man may need suicide precautions now.
I wish him the best and to find happiness soon.

They did us a favor. We botched it with the Dooley hire.

If TN was in a coaching search and went after a first year coach who was hot I wouldn't give two 💩s about the state of their program. That's just the business side of things.

And to be fair, USC was getting turned down left and right due to the impending sanctions. Kiffin was the only one arrogant enough to think he could weather it.

Man I feel sorry for him. I have known several alcoholics in my life and they need help. He was checking into rehab so why fire him? That's punishing Someone for trying to get help with there problem. Hayden should take notes from cashman and cc sabathia

Sabathia isnt a mentor to 85-100 young men. Head coaches that have minors with them for recruiting and young men as pupils have to rise above.
