Well the recruiting scholarship sanctions end with this next class (2014) and the overall scholarship reductions end with the next season (so the end of 2014)


They'd still be coaching a program under probation however, but all the reduction penalties would be gone within a year.

The sanctions that came down came down from the Reggie Bush regime/era from some of the other coaches.

That being said, I feel no pity for him because he left UT in the middle of the night, left us in a bind a few weeks before NSD. You know the rest.

Fowler just said 2 more years with 10 scholly reduction. So they would be playing with 75 rather than 85 next two I'd assume. Not that bad really

Was he including this season as well?

ESPN said it ended in 2014.

The imposed scholarship reduction penalties put in place following the Reggie Bush case are set to expire with the signing class of 2014 in February. The 2014 season also will be the final year of the 75-player roster limit imposed on USC.

I have to admit I was somewhat happy to see this. However, at the end of the day, Lane didn't lose his job because he's a bad person; he lost his job because he's a bad coach. I can see a small school giving him another opportunity because he is a good recruiter.
