USCjr VS Texas A&M

I feel dirty for saying this but Carolina got jobbed by officials in two games hard. They likely beat Bama and LSU. They’re right in the running for the playoffs if not for that. Ole Miss did however take their lunch money.

I think A&M was just getting a lot of hype for beating an LSU team that has looked like crap most of the year. I guess that’s why almost every talking head and outlet had USCjr winning.

Yeah but some of those analytics are stupid. Have you seen some of the crazy situations where ESPN analytics say a team should go for it in 4th down?
I think analytics is getting in the way of good common sense of being able to read the situation and playing environment.

Can't wait for the next generation to take over coaching and they start relying on AI to tell them what plays they should call.

It's an analytic.
I assume it's not (I can see the other reasons for doing it) but I admit I am not on a college coaching staff and I don't actually know. I remember there was a guy in High school in Arkansas that never ever punted and they seemed to do well with that. The difference though is that you're playing 4 down football from first down, which I think is easier.

Anyway I am opinionated in favor of field position football.

Never underestimate the delusions of the USCjr fan. Don’t forget they ran spurrier off.
I have a different take. Spurrier was tanking and his next loss was going to be against Tennessee and he didn't want that on his record, so he quit the week of the game.

So it was Tennessee that ran him off.
