How's Tebow? If ya'll are 4-3 going into the cocktail party do you think he will become the starter?

Actually, Meyer has said he will play Tebow early, thus imploring the "dual QB" system.

Apparently Meyer was so caught up in himself last year, he missed what happened to Tennessee.

I think Tebow is exactly what you read and would expect at this point. He is a big guy, with great strength and ability. He will be perfect for a spread-option offense ... in a couple of years.

This offensive line simply cannot, in my opinion, handle blocking for the spread-option this year. And Leak, as we all know, is not a running threat. In my opinion, Florida might as well abandon the spread-option for the remainder of Leak's career (which is this year). Give the team its best chance to succeed with the veteran Leak (who is an outstanding drop-back passer) and give the O-line newcomers a chance to bulk up and gain some experience.

Tebow takes over next year. And it will be next year, I believe, before you really see any significant spread-option at Florida.

That sounds very sensible LG. I wonder if Meyer, or any D1 coach for that matter, would be willing to put their scheme on ice for a year like that. I have a feeling UF will be using a hybrid much like last year.

And that will piss me off. I say we dance with the one that brung us, and that's a passing game built around Leak. The hybrid thing screws up any chance at tempo and both a passing game and spread-option depend on that. I think it would be a big mistake to go back and forth on it.

How is a period of time almost 20 years ago, under a different coach, a "good one?" Here's a positive comment. I'm positive that comparing '87-'89 to '04-'06 is like comparing apples to aardvarks. How's that?

cause history always repeats itself. Just saying god darn. Are all you full of is smart remarks, stats, and hot air or do you actually have any positive insight on ANY situation?

But I'm sorry. Saying that you are somehow statistically "due" for a good year after a bad one because it has happened before is intellectually bankrupt.

Once again, I don't think people are saying we are statistically "due", only that it's been done before so it's not out of the question.
