IMO with this class coming in we are a solid 6 win team with the Worley of last season at the helm. With some improvement or with replacement with a better QB I see a potential for another win. I think 8 is our cap and even so I think 6 or 7 wins is where we land. Our defense will be the next challenge, while we have talent I'm afraid it will take a while to find consistency and develope the physical attributes of top tier SEC defensive players. Just my 2 cents, carry on.

I have gone through different opinions on Worley. Early on, I thought he caught too much flak, but was also unhappy with his performance.

Then when he was injured, I kind of thought maybe it was best to move on.

However, post season, looking back at things from a distance, let's face it, the Vols played much better in Worley's last two games...Uga and USCe. We had a few moments here and there later in the season, but those two games were the peak, and who was the QB?

So I'll take my chances with Worley if he is the starter. You never know, with another year to improve and learn Butch's offense, he might just pleasantly surprise us.

All I can say about the QB situation is that I hope there is a healthy competition and if Worley wins the job, so be it.

I really hope our young running backs can help take some pressure off of the QB, whoever it's going to be.

If Worley stayed healthy CBJ would have had a 6 plus win season, gone to a bowl and got his signature win against SC all in his first season.

I don't disagree with the WHAT IF assertion with Worley...I'm confident that the Mizzou and Auburn games wouldn't have been blowouts and the Vandy game would have been...for us...that being said,if Worley is LEARNING the offense at this point...put someone with better talent out there as a student.

With all QBs healthy and having been in the program for more than a year will ensure the best man wins the job. That said, if Worley wins the job, it doesn't speak well for the talent level at QB.

Vols would've won 6 for sure and maybe 7 if Worley would've finished the year. UT would've drawn a similar opponent to Vandie in the bowl and likely would've won big in a bowl. So, really, 7-8 total wins had Worley finished last season.

I'm not counting the UF game either. If he would've played at UF the first half, who knows. Maybe 8-9 wins.

This team was very close to having an "amazing" year considering half of the team or more isn't SEC caliber talent and insanely thin at all positions.

I'm not sure if I've ever seen "solid" and 6 win team" used together in a sentence before.

Games we must win Utah State, Arkansas State, Chattanooga, Kentucky, Vandy. Games we could possibly win Florida, Missouri. Games we probably want win Georgia, SC, Ole Miss. Big Underdogs Alabama, Oklahoma. We certainly have a great shot at six or seven wins Florida game will be huge early. We could win eight or more Georgia, Ole Miss, and SC need huge efforts but do have a chance in those games.

Worley didn't play a good game vs USCe . one third down play was all that I saw from him last year and that was underthrown.... if not for M north. There is no way that butch goes into year 3 with no stable QB . it's Riley's turn or Dobbs. also they both can run a read Option unlike Worley...

This staff will give either Ferguson or Dobbs every single opportunity to earn the starting QB job this year. Why? Because no coach wants to be breaking in a new QB in their 3rd season. Year 3 is when you're expected to make some noise in your conference and no coach in their right mind wants to put his career in the hands of a first year starting QB.

Why are we even discussing this again? Enjoy the day! It is NSD for God's sake! Save this discussion for when and if Worley is named the starter.

Worley seems like a wonderful young man but as a fan I would much rather see one of the young guy get in there and take their lumps. I think come spring it will be difficult to keep Dobbs off the field. Dobbs was light years ahead of Worley if you compare Freshman Dobbs to Freshman Worley. JMO
