Smaller running backs is a common trend (not only in college but in the NFL as well). As long as you are elusive and have speed to match, then height and weight are not that important.

I'm doing a comparison by positions. The height/weights listed are the averages for both teams.

It would be nice if you gave average speeds as well . Younger teams are typically going to be smaller on average.

it's not that big of a deal...ask auburn.

When you're as fast as them. You don't have to be that "big". Auburn is fast and smart, look how the O-Line made the holes for Mason and Marshall last season.

UT - RB 5'10 200
ALA - RB 6'1 222

UT - LB 6'1 225
ALA - LB 6'2 245

Three inches and 22 lbs is a significant difference in RB's.
Only 1 inch in height for the LB's, but 20 lbs is pretty significant also.
Next comparison will be FB/TE.

When we go head to head with Bama the only two that matter will be Hurd and Yeldon. Everyone else will be filling in when they need to get their shoe back on or when they lose a helmet. I'm wondering about the two only.

What are you talking about? That's been our strength the past couple of years, compared to our D line and secondary.

Stowell, Myslinski, Davis,Fisher, Lenoir, McRae, Baird etc... Had a lot to do with that. Excellent picture!
