Don't know what to say about Tucker other than my opinion and that he looks good right now but thsts based off calling plays while most likely Kirby is doi g all the heavy lifting with the defense. If we are going this route I don't know how venerables isn't your guy dabo is offensive guy so you know Brett can handle his business on defense and bring back tee on offense and then you need a Mel Tucker type to call plays during the game......just my 2 cents

Why? What is the significance of having it done so early?

Why not take your time and make the right hire?

I think the early signing period is the issue. Many feel most schools will fill at least 75% of their class in December. Kids are waiting to see who we hire and if the fit isn't there, they need to secure spots elsewhere. Doors open now may not be after the early signing date. Having a guy this week helps because this is a big recruiting visit weekend. Not many opportunities left before that early signing.

Perhaps, you Prat, Tee knew something about Butch that you and no other fan didn't. I've turned down jobs and even promotions because I knew who was at the top and how things would end. I was wrong only once but things still went bad due to company culture.
