If the Vols get a top-4 seed again next year, we'll probably play the first two rounds at Rupp Arena, which is basically Lofton's other home court. If that's the case, I think we'll definitely reach the Sweet 16.

Young or no true point and UT will struggle early. Loss of Watson will be felt Big

Well, considering how off law was on this season, I'll take his prediction as an omen for a great upcoming season.

You are just going to force me to pull for UCLA aren't you?

Snicker all you want. The East is going to be tough next season. The West will be strong in the top half. Its entirely possible that you go 6-10 in the SEC.

Truth be told I said losing record primarily because I am tired of all the sniping aty the Gators. About ten people on here have congratulated the Gators. Maybe three meant it. And all the sniping at Noah. I do think its jealousy. So I retaliated.

But 6-10 is as possible for you I think as sweet 16.

What do you expect from a Vol board? :birgits_giggle:

Hey LG, congrats on the Gators making it to the championship game! :p

I am sure we are jealous of you being in the NC game. No one here is going to say we don't wish it was us.

We can go 6-10 in the SEC next year just as easily as UF can. If UF wins tomorrow, anywhere from 2-4 UF players will seriously consider the NBA. This could turn their strength into a weakness for next year and I seriously doubt that UF can rely on its perimeter play over an extended period.

A breath of honest fresh air!! Thanks for the kudos for the Gators. Don't know what to expect tomorrow night. Hope they play well and acquit themselves as gentlemen.

I predict they make the tourney again.I also predict Noah to leave.Wonder what UCLA transfer Andre Patterson is feeling about UCLA playing in the finals.

Patterson would have been gone by now had he not transferred and sat out, but it would still be interesting to hear his thoughts.

Tennessee has another solid season under Pearl. UF crashes and burns after making it to the National Championship game and losing this year.

I predict that Horford goes this year for the $. I think that if they win tomorrow night, there is a good chance that either Noah or Brewer goes. Maybe both.

I think Noah and Horford are gone regardless. Brewer definitely stays, as right now he is not even a projected top 25 pick in the 2007 draft, yet alone the 2006 draft.

Along with them, if Rondo goes pro, UT is the class of the SEC East.

Noah insists that he is staying. And if they lose tomorrow I think he will to get another shot. He's having the time of his life and I suspect his family is okay $-wise.

But if they win he may feel like he has nothing else to prove and go.

His dad only won one grand slam in tennis. He may want to better him and stay even if they beat UCLA (Which I think they will).

Its not always about the $ when players jump to the NBA. I think he may jump just so he can be in the league. It isn't guaranteed that if he comes back he will have as good a year or be projected to go highly next year.

I read some very facinating quotes from Noah a couple of days ago. The guy apparently doesn't like the NBA very much. He said he went to an NBA game recently and left at halftime; he called it "boring." He also said he loves college--and he made of point of saying that he "grew up with food in the refrigerator," so he doesn't have the compulsion that 90 percent of these African-American kids (and ESPECIALLY their familes) have to try and go for the pro money as soon as they can so they can buy themselves a Escalade and buy their mommies a Mercedes. It was refreshing, I gotta admit.

Noah will get his arse handed to him on a platter if he goes. See Loren Woods. Their game is very similar. That dude needs to hit the weights. :twocents:

With an SEC school's winning the NCAA and the NIT this year is just proves how hard the competition down south.

Now for UT in '06-'07 they should be solid, we return most of the line-up and add some great recruits. I would not be suprised with a 26-5 regular season or even better than that. Facing UF twice a year in the regular season will be tough, but at least we can call UK our little whipping boy for a few more seasons. "Thank you Mr. Lofton"[/i]
