Since it's slow, I thought I'd have some fun and look at both teams by the numbers and how they rank in the SEC. Georgia is absolutely HORRIBLE! Tennessee aint no home run but Georgia ranks in the high 200's comparing NCAA teams.

Tennessee 8-9 (1-2)
Georgia 9-8 (0-3)

PPG
Tennessee - 72.8 (6th)
Georgia - 62.2 (12th)

RPG
Tennessee - 35.9 (7th)
Georgia - 32.7 (11th)

APG
Tennessee - 14.1 (3rd)
Georgia - 11.4 (10th)

FG%
Tennessee - .459 (6th)
Georgia - .405 (11th)

BPG
Tennessee - 4.94 (5th)
Georgia - 3.76 (12th)

Freethrow %
Tennessee - .698 (6th)
Georgia - .694 (7th)

3-Point %
Tennessee - .379 (3rd)
Georgia - .331 (9th)

SPG
Tennessee - 5.82 (12th)
Georgia - 6.00 (11th)

Georgia at Home
7-3 (Best Win - Winthrop)

Tennessee Away
0-4 (Best Win - Georgia ha)

More numbers.
GA starts 2 SRs , 2 FR and a So.
the 2 Srs are guards.
It will be our guards that decide the game.
Has a week of working on unforced turnovers produced any results?

I'm watching 2 things in this game with major interest. Turnovers...will the team reflect what ccm is looking for and bring the turnovers down to about 10 a game, no reason we shouldn't be able o against uga. The other thing is defense...uga Is bad offensively they average 60 a game and 40% fg which is where ccm wants is to hold teams so theoretically we should hold them to lower than that if we okay good defense.

I haven't seen Georgia play but by their numbers, I wouldn't imagine them pressing us. I think this is a grind it out, possession type game. As long as we make smart passes and protect the ball in the paint, I don't see a lot of turnovers.

As you said their guards are what carry them, ware and Robinson are studs but disaster. If golden and Richardson can shut them down we should be fine.

No reason turnovers should be more than 0, with uga not pressing and the extra attention spent by ccm on it anything more than 10 would be bad.

I'm thinking UT wins 75-61.

Being a slow pace game, no reason why Golden can't play all the minutes he wants. I don't think Richardson will have any problems.

No way we play 0 turnovers.
If we regress to pre florida defense on the road Robinson has the ability to take the team on his back.
I'm not convinced we've turned the corner yet.
2 wins this week and I'll be on the wagon.

I am going to be there with my orange on. Been to the last 5 games there. Last year was bad, but we usually win that one on the road. One year Pearl had the team come out and thank the UT fans for coming out to see them on the road after a win.

0 turnovers that'd be impressive. I'm sure it has happened before, but I'm curious has it?

GA is very young.
Aside from Stokes they have talent equal to or better than ours.
They're an inexperienced team ready to break out in the SEC.
Take them lightly and they'll end any discussion of post tourney play.

At this point we can't take any teams lightly, we saw where that gets us. Very interested for this game to see how we play.

2 wins this week and everybodies going to be on board! Beating Uconn would be major!

Beating an RPI 4 team could give us a significant jump from our 178 ranking.
We would probably still need two major upsets and no more bad losses in Conference play to get high enough to be considered for an NCAA bid.

I'm getting more and more excited, looking forward to the Uconn game and revenge for driving up to the dump that hartford, ct is last year. Drummond really scares me though on the inside he is a monster that has really started figuring it out lately. Not as intimidating as Davis on the inside but his offensive game IMO is more polished than davis'.

What final number are you thinking? If they beat Uconn and win the games they should nd beat bama that's 10-6 sec, 18-13 overall wins over Uconn, bama, Florida. This not enough? Maybe one or two wins in sec t to get to 20?

Just me, but I'd say we need the miracle of miracles on the 31st of this month.
Just beating Uconn, wouldn't be enough. Might get us to the lower 70s or 80s. Not close enough.

But beating vandy at home, bama away you don't see those as getting us up higher either? You see it we pretty much need to win vs Uconn and at rupp? That's a task and a half...ugh!

Vandy and Bama would be good wins, but their RPIs aren't good enough to jump us into the 40s.
We've got too many really bad losses pulling us down.

Agree. A Vandy sweep is a must and a win @ the O'Connell Center or Rupp needs to happen!!!!
