UT LB's Problems Current and Future......

No one seems to have a real good read on Jones, some people say he's lookin around and some say he's all Vol. Bohannon was good but that was the only time we actually really saw him. You gotta believe that with depth and injury concerns, you can never have too much of a numbers problem in the trenches

Jones thinks his first shot will be on D, or at least I think he said somethin about it a while back. Lemonier is visitin this weekend, he and Smith could definately make things interesting. Everyone says its UT or Illinois for them so...........

Sound like we are DE heavy? Somebody is going to get the GUS Deluxe specials all summer (if they still open) to gain weight and grow into a DT!

Haha yea man. Somethin will give unfortunately, I think Jones or Copeland could leave, plus alot of people are talkin about Calvin Smith and Corey Lemonier as DTs anyway..........not sure how true that is but hey it's a solution

a haul of Taylor/Luc/Jones would go a long way in upgrading this unit's depth.....

-Askew will be very good he just needs to get prepared mentally so he can play fast
-King will start next yr IMO...
-Reviez will find a way to be back out there day 1 of fall practice.
-Lathers will be better with more experience...he shows flashes...he pops up on the screen with his athletic ability but his inexperience leads to bad angles and over pursuit vs spread offenses
-Frazier, Thompson/ Mitchell Thornton I consider average...Nigel could change with more time with Ausmus
- Nelson - no clue what he looks like

If we had more depth at Safety I would love to see Myles put on more weight and become an All American LB

You consider Frazier average? Gee for a guy who hadn't played MLB since middle school he looked pretty above average to me

The talk of Askew being good or a beast once he gets the system down has me baffled. Why does it take him an entire season to get the system, when Thorton and King have seen playing time. They are FROSH this season to just like Askew. I don't see him beasting next year when he hasn't seen the field this year.

thats because he is redshirting. just because he redshirts doesn't mean he is a bad player. im not saying he is going to be a world beater but i think he certainly has the capability to be

I thought the word was that Askew asked Kiffin to redshirt this year. Don't ask me why though. Otherwise, it's just strange that he hasn't seen the field as talented as he is.
