I really wouldn't be surprised if it's just a rough stretch. The three weeks between Fall and Spring semesters are definitely an odd time for a student to be on campus.

That's what some local media have been implying, I personally have no idea. It would make sense though.

Maybe Pearl has a buddy with the NCAA committee that said "You're screwed." He tells his son, and Steven tells one guy on the team to keep it quiet and know everyone knows. IDK it's possible. Or they heard it from someone inside the Atheletic Department.

They won't get the final ruling until summer probably. But the list of "offenses" is what they should have already gotten.

Edit: But apparently haven't yet. So much for local media speculation.

Unfortunately, this can not be used as an excuse. I thought the same thing until I was informed differently yesterday. They have not received the letter.

Just my opinion..

I believe the players have determined or found out or have been told that the NCAA "stuff" is going to be much worse than has been thought. They have played the last 4, now 5 games just going through the motions after a coupel games on the road versus top level opponents. Teams don't turn like that unless somehting has gotten into their minds and they are totally distracted.

I've thought all along the sanctions are going to be worse than has been discussed..

I think that is the problem since you asked..
