What if Kiffin and the gang are let go at the end of the season and USC is now off on a coaching search?

Would Gruden be on USC's list?

USC is going to have it rough with the scholly reductions. They will probably stick it out with Kiffin for another year or two. No big name coach will come near a program that will be down 30 schollies in 2 years.

UT. He said that the Tennessee is an elite school, and one of the best fan bases. USC will never factor into this. Vols or NFL.

USC will always be a "more attractive" HC job on paper for many reasons. But no chance Gruden looks at USC. IMO, there is no chance Kiffin is let go this year anyway.

Their recruiting class this year is unreal.

Everyone wants Kiffin to fail and I can see why. But looking at it without bringing emotions into it, Kiffin is set up for success for the next few years. There is no way he doesn't win in the years to come.

Depth is going to be a real issue for them after these scholarship limitations take full effect. They will be uber-talented at every single position, but every recruiting miss, every injury, every suspension/academic casualty will be highlighted that much more by their simple lack of bodies. Unless Kiff can con some blue-chips from well-to-do families to walk-on, he will be strapped beyond his starters and second team guys.

I would buy beer if you let me go with you to make sure it is done right.

I'm a little insulted that you doubt my skill, but it's a deal :)

I think San Diego Vol is a lawyer. I wonder what his retainer would be for a proper defense, hypothetically of course.

USC will be back at the top next year competing.

They were supposed to this year. If they lose next week they will be 7-5. What makes you think it will get better down 20 schollies next year and 30 the year after that?

It sounds as if he really is not interested in college but loves UT and may be interested in UT.

how did he fail this year? you kiffin fans said all summer they were a lock for the title game with bama. now here they sit 6-4 and lose ALL their offensive skill players next year and you think some freshman will make them better???

signing a class and producing are two entirely different things.

his first USC signing class had three 5 stars and only one is still on campus 2 seasons later. thats not counting the seantrel henderson swing and miss.

his second class he signed only one five star. george farmer has 5 career receptions with 2 games left before hes a junior next season (fail)

his third class he signed 3. Agholor is legit . the other two are oline - one is redshirting after knee surgery and the other is guarding the oxygen tank as a 3rd stringer.

everything that glitters aint always gold

statement of support = kiss of death?

I was thinking the same thing last night when I heard the report after the game. I can't help but think he has under achieved on an epic proportion this season. Kiss of death #1 preseason, statement of support kiss of death last night. Who knows I'm usually wrong.

The thread should be dead for all purposes after Pat Hayden said that Kiffin will be back at USC.
