UT or USC: Which one would look more attractive to Gruden?

What if Kiffin and the gang are let go at the end of the season and USC is now off on a coaching search?

Would Gruden be on USC's list?

I think USC is a far and away a better job because their brand and football program is in a better state of affairs than Tennessee right now. In addition, California is a prime recruiting state.

We need Gruden more than he needs us right now, but on pure speculation I think Gruden has every reason to come to Tennessee and he can get this thing "risen from the dead". You can talk about Petrino, Golden, Phil but this program needs a uniter and a reason for optimism. If its anyone but Gruden you are going to have disappointment.

Kiffin will get another year, for many reasons, most political. But he's on a short leash and his tenure is limited unless he's in the NC hunt next year. That said, I think Gruden would seriously consider SC. Almost any coach would. But not this year.

how did he fail this year? you kiffin fans said all summer they were a lock for the title game with bama. now here they sit 6-4 and lose ALL their offensive skill players next year and you think some freshman will make them better???

signing a class and producing are two entirely different things.

his first USC signing class had three 5 stars and only one is still on campus 2 seasons later. thats not counting the seantrel henderson swing and miss.

his second class he signed only one five star. george farmer has 5 career receptions with 2 games left before hes a junior next season (fail)

his third class he signed 3. Agholor is legit . the other two are oline - one is redshirting after knee surgery and the other is guarding the oxygen tank as a 3rd stringer.

everything that glitters aint always gold

I am with you on this. There was a time that I thought he was probably a better all around coach than what we have here. Although watching him lose 4 games with the talent he has is pretty ridiculous. It wont get any better for him next year either. I think a lot of his losses were given away by the defense. So I think he makes a change and pulls his pops reigns and hires a new DC. Although I dont see how losing schollies is going to help him for the next few years.
