UT/OSU Scouting Report

Honestly I dont. But some people on the OSU message boards like it a lot. I just dont like playing teams that are bigger than us ( mostly everyone.) I do however like the matchup for OSU at the PG position. Also I think anyone that has to guard James Anderson is in for a LONG day

I have a sneaking suspicion that whoever is supposed to guard Anderson simply won't guard him.

I hope you are right! Plus for some reason Eaton ALWAYS plays better basketball at the end of the season.. This is his first NCAA Tournament so I would look for him to take over this game because he can get to the paint and he is a 78% free throw shooter

Kind of strange seeing OSU starting 4 guards and 1 forward while We are starting 3 guards and two forwards and neither team is starting a true center lol.....Man how times have changed....I personally like the match up and think its going to be one of the more entertaining early games of the tourney.

We should own them in the paint, but it won't matter if they don't finish around the rim. Those smaller guards will probably be very tough to guard.

Eaton is like a 7th year senior ain't he. That dude has been there forever.

We don't do a bad job of getting the ball inside when they try, but most of the time, they want to jack up a three, try a running layup, Maze will do a cross-over pull-up, or Tyler will try to do his crazy drive thing.

Did you watch the Miss St. game? A majority of our unforced turnovers were bad passes into the post, and we had the complete inability to take advantage of the huge size advantage that Tyler had on his man inside.

THe thing that is going to help us is that they love to run, and nobody can outgun us. While i though we got screwed on the 9 seed, this is prolly the 8 seed i want to play b/c were bigger, and they love to run. When UT plays fastbreak teams, we usually do pretty good. When teams like to slow it down, then we get screwed.

Like Kentucky....or if we want to win........then Florida......

that comment is true in so many ways. Oklahoma State, prepare to get dominated.

One positive in the Vols favor is that they have many players with Tournament playing experience and the Pokes haven't been in the tourney since the 05 tourney...so maybe that will help??:dunno:

Varnado had a lot to do with our struggles inside.

I've got a little tear in my eye over the fact that not a single person riffed on the name "Cowpoke".

Now I've just got to decide if that's pride or disappointment....

Oh yeah, and thanks for the info....

The president picked us to win against Oklahoma State.....Is that a good thing or a bad thing? :)
