What's the rule on visiting 2010 signees? Is that allowed during a dead period? Maybe they're getting an early start for the next go around.

The dead period is from Midnight Sunday (yesterday) through Friday@Midnight. No recruiting going on fellas.

November 30-January 31: Contact Period. During this time, coaches are allowed to visit recruits off campus. Coaches can make only one visit per week to individual recruits. Also during this window, coaches must be aware of intermittent Quiet Periods and Dead Periods (during which no in-person contact is allowed) set for the following dates:

-December 21 (Quiet Period)
-December 22-January 1 (Dead Period)
-January 2-4 (Quiet Period)
-January 11 (Quiet Period)
-January 12-15 (Dead Period, though staff are allowed to have contact with recruits who have been admitted for mid-year enrollment)
-January 16-17 (Quiet Period)
-February 1 (Quiet Period)
-February 2-5: (Dead Period; Note: Feb. 4 is "signing day"?the first day that recruits can sign a National Letter of Intent for their school of choice.)
-February 6-April 14 (Quiet Period)
-April 15-May 31: This is another Evaluation Period. Staffs have four weeks to conduct both athletic and academic evaluations of potential recruits. Days not used for evaluation during this time window are otherwise considered “quiet.”

-June 1-July 31: Quiet Period.
