Not a slam

Rick is gutsy as heck

2 dislocated fingers on non-throwing hand
strained achilles
deep thigh bruise
strained shoulder
sore from head to foot

Didn't have a great game or even a really good one but he competed and UT won.

Defense was disappointing

What was with that Ole Miss guy with the "thing" arm. Hat's off to him too for his play.

Patrick Willis - Had a broken middle finger and he also had a hurt knee. Imagine him at full speed.

You know Rick played pretty poorly against Ole Miss, but great against UAB and LSU i'm wondering if that injury to his non throwing hand isnt really bothering him now.

Head Coach Phillip Fulmer: On senior QB Rick Clausen "His ankle (was hurting), and he had two fingers that were dislocated in the first ballgame - but he's played with them. He got the heck knocked out of him a couple times. He's a tough guy. He's a leader."

I love Rick and in MNSHO Rick is finally getting the respect be deserves, but I would have liked to see Ainge come in for a set of downs or two, just to mix it up, unless he was injuried.

Ainge needs to sit the bench and learn the offense more....He's been throwing balls at airplanes and anything that looks orange when he's in there....He will be our guy the next 2 years unless Crompton comes back and takes him to the woodshed

Ainge is talented no doubt but after the notre dame hit i think he is a little shaky let him work it off and he will be fine but for this year slick rick is the man!

????
what?

how dare u attack our defense? if not for them we would be 1-3.

we gave up trash yardage at the end. and if not for the lucky b.s. run with 50 seconds left. we would of had -17 yards rushing against us.

u can slam rick and the offense. but stay away from our d 67

cbc, the d has played great this year, especially compared to the offense but they showed some weaknesses today.

So your telling me A 1 armed Spurlock is better than Leak and Russell?

I don't think so.

They let him break containment way too much and there was more dropped balls by Ole Miss than Pass defended by UT, where was the LBers when Ole Miss was eating UT up with that swing pass?

I almost forgot about the swing pass. I haven't watched the replay yet but that was pitiful. I don't know if our LB's were blitzing or just out of postition.

Looked like the LB's were just lost several times when they hit us with the swing.

say what yall want. it is just an opinion.

i think our d is great. spurlock got lucky on a bunch of occasions. all he does is run around and throw the ball up for grabs.

they dominate the rushing game. and made the big plays we needed to pull away. it is ashame that anything bad would be said about the d.

cbc, I don't think anyone is thrashing the d. They played well but they can play better in certain areas.
