UT QB Play

I think benching ainge this year will do him a world of good. Perhaps he will play with a fire under his arse with more passion as if it it his last play. He has been playing with a silver platter since he arrived and he just doesnt have that eye of the tiger or passion this year. He needs to prove he is a leader and his teammates will respect him more.

As far as RC. He drove the ball to the other side of the field on numerous occasions and Phil loves the field postion game. They won by more than 6 points. Someone had that stat they only won one game by more than 6 since 2003 or something in conferance. Winning by 3 scores which could have been more had he had our kicking game on. I give RC a B for his effort. Had we converted for td's which wasnt his fault. Running game sucked in the redzone. Missed field goals hurt the overall score.

As much as I respect Rick's guts, intelligence, and leadership skills, I still wish that he had the ability to take advantage of our recievers. I keep hearing about the offense plugging away and I hope that they can plug their way to victories over UGA and Bama. After the LSU game it felt like things were somewhat settled and I understand the factors that played into the Ole Miss game...short week, injuries, emotional letdown, yada, yada, yada. But i felt like I was seeing the same old offensive woes Saturday and the real test is coming, the upcoming weeks are going to be do or die. I know Rick has the leadership skills to win these games and I hope he does but part of me wants to see EA on the field by the Notre Dame game to enact some revenge

The only thing about Rick that annoyed me Saturday was that there were about 3-4 occassions where he had a man WIDE open down the field, ahead of the safeties and everything, and Rick threw it away on one of them, and the others just went to short yard men.

It's like he's really afraid to stop, step into the throw and hit the deep man. The ONE time he went deep, he overthrew the guy by about 1second. If he never tried the deep ball, how's he gonna get better at it?

Rick is a smart QB, he don't make mistakes that cost us games....Those could have cost us big points....Rick was just making the smart decision and not trying to do something stupid....Take what the defense gives you all day

I agree. We should at least throw a few jump balls. My hope is that with one full game behind him Rick will be more comfortable taking a few chances. That is what it will take to beat GA.

yep, Rick is going to have to take some chances down the field in the GA game.
