UT Recruiting Efforts in Florida this year??

It's a valid and curious point on OP, but would be more of a valid point if we weren't having good success in recruiting. One thing for sure is we are spending more time locking down TN, and seems alot of time in GA...something has to give and maybe FL has been de-emphasized some, oddly. JH seems to have initiated "long game" relationship recruiting, and who knows but maybe teams like Miami are spending more NIL cost to entry, which stretches budgets? Who knows...

Florida is a cherry pick state in terms of our recruiting plan. If there is a kid who has a tie and/or expresses sincere interest then it makes sense to recruit him. If not, there are too many other elite level players in our footprint (TN, GA, NC, AL) to spend finite time and resources there IMO. You're contending with distance plus the Big 3 + UGA/OSU for any player you'd want to land out of there which again JMO makes the risk/reward way too low.
We had one with Cai Bates last year and went hard. They do it strategic as you said.

Spot on imo

OK, per your request, I shortened the amount of thread your wrist needs to scroooooollllllll through. Gone are #s 38-40.

Dude, copying the whole list was clearly dumb. Take the L and move along.

As for your original question, Florida is a big state that is relatively a long way away. This staff seems to have placed an emphasis on instate kids along with Georgia, Alabama, NC, SC, and VA. It's likely proximity and relationships in those areas are important to them. That doesn't mean they'll ignore Florida, but one state isn't the key to building a program. There are elite players in every state, so I don't see any concern with limited recruits from Florida for a cycle or two.
