Lol of course that crap outlet would pick this nonsense upCheck out this article from Knoxville News:
Tennessee under NCAA investigation involving NIL for athletes
Tennessee, including football, under NCAA investigation involving NIL for athletes
Tennessee football is under an NCAA investigation into potential rules violations involving NIL benefits for athletes, a source told Knox News.www.knoxnews.com
Exactly. Tennessee and Florida will not be the only SEC schools on the NCAA Radar in the upcoming days/weeks. Its only a matter of time before the SEC just bands together and calls their bluff. The Super conferences have to much power now.Saw a short video about this subject but not about UT. Colorado was one of the schools in question. One of the "serious violations" is that a coach gave a recruit a ride to meeting with an NIL collective. They didn't talk about NIL or anything related to it. He simply gave the kid a ride.
The NCAA is basically in death throes. They're determined to find a way to be relevant in a world where they aren't. They're trying to play "tough guy" when really they should be working with programs to adapt and reorganize. It is only a matter of time before someone calls their bluff.
Smarter than what? Sounds like they feel we didn’t violate any rules. You’d really have to hope Spyre and UT would be smarter than this coming off the heels of the huge Pruitt scandal that we got by with a slap on the wrist on. I have a feeling we won’t be able to negotiate our punishment down if this has any truth to it.
Join the club. It’s basically everyone under investigation except Georgia and Alabama, the originators of the shadiness.
