It most definitely was not pretty. Now we get to wonder for 2 solid weeks what we are gonna look like next time we see them.

Well...We won against a decent team. Too bad we regressed on out FT shooting..Still, we were up against a senior, tournment tested team. I'll always take a win, ugly or not, anytime.

You can't say that. We have a young and very talented team that will only get better. By March we could be top 10 again. Of course we could be unranked and needing a few wins to build up our resume.

This team is too far from being a Top 10 team to make it there before the end of the season.

Absolutely. And remember, they only lost to Duke by 4. They play sound, solid, fundamental basketball with poise and determination. They'll be a tough out for anybody.

This game leads me to wonder if we are even ready to compete in conference play - and our conference stinks this year.

Seemed to me they were sleepwalking coming out of the half, but finally turned it up enough to pull out a win.

To be expected tho with a young team that lost 2 great players!! We still will be going into the new year right around where we started in the rankings! And with the SEC being down we should be on top of SEC!

To me, we always seem to have the look of a team that believes its own hype. That is until we find ourselves down by 10 after stupid missed three pointers and lob passes that look like Crompton has been tutoring our basketball team. Then we turn it on and look like a team that is good. It only appears in flashes though. Bruce does have work to do.

Missed free throws by UT and a huge run by Belmont to open the second half. If Belmont hit their free throws at the end they would have beaten us.

Edit: And Belmont is good. Much better than their 4-4 record.

Our schedule beginning Jan 3 heats up in a major way. I hope he gets the work done.

So if we would have made free-throws we would have blown them away?? There wasn't a lack of effort or execution on offense and defense?

Could be that or just growing pains with a bunch of young/inexperienced players being relied on to produce. This season is looking more and more like the '06/'07 season with every passing game.
