UT vs SEC Refs

We’ve been taking it all year. Smirking on the sideline and going silent in post game press conferences is getting old. Other coaches cuss the refs all the time during games, Heup needs to do the same. We have a great coach, but he needs to unleash the beast before it costs us even more.
Does that work? I'd like to see some evidence before we ask Heupel to risk an aneurysm.

the lack of live ball penalties is a huge problem. Now on to 8 quarters without a live ball penalty for a Tennessee opponent. They can hold, they can mug our receivers. Refs don't call it. It needs to stop. If the SEC office thinks we are just going to take this lying down, they are in for a rude awakening.
What exactly are we gonna do?

You obviously can't read! In 2 GAMES VS BAMA AND UK, BAMA HAD 1 DEAD BALL PENALTY FOR 5 YDS THAT SAVED THEM A FUMBLE AND SCORING DRIVE. 1 PENALTY! UK HAD 4 PENALTIES ALL DEAD BALL 5 YDS. SO YOU ARE SAYING NEITHER TEAM FOR 8 QUARTERS DIDN'T HOLD 1 TIME, PASS INTERFERENCE 1 TIME FACE MASK 1 TIME??? YOU ARE OBVIOUSLY AN OFFICAL OR RELATED TO ONE!

GTFO

Or he’s just a complete idiot…

Let's please stop talking about the refs....Every freakin' week, every freakin year, game after game, with the refs BS. Give it a rest. It is what is, they
are what they are. Seriously.

Opposing coaches get into it with refs all the time. He doesn’t have to go completely ballistic, but a grow a set and stand up to this bs. Not doing anything is worse.
Maybe, but I'd like to see the data on how effective it is to complain and at what level (e.g. from logical argument to full two year old tantrum). I saw Stoops throwing a hissy fit over the Keyton catch and it didn't do him or any good in the moment. Were there missed calls against KY later the refs might have given him to make up for that? Hard to tell, but a statistician might be able to figure it out over the course of several games with the same officiating crew.

I do have to admit that the non-reversal of Keton's catch in the 4th quarter made up for some of the non-calls against UK. I was certain that it would be ruled an incompletion and likely the game would have gone the other way.

I don’t know what you saw on the replay that showed the catch should have been overturned. The replay camera was so blurry, you couldn’t tell at all when Keyton caught the ball or when his foot lifted off the ground. “The ruling on the field stands” was the right call on that play. What was wrong on that play was the refs deciding to review it after we already snapped the ball.

You bunch of crybabies with the ref nonsense. If this were other message boards you’d be laughing at it. Some bad calls? Sure. We also have a very undisciplined team. Plenty of **** calls on both sides last night.
Get back to walking uphill both ways to school

Pretty much. I don’t think they called for one team vs the other. They just were incompetent.

Bama game though. I don’t think anyone can say that game was officiated without bias.

What I saw was him fumbling around with the ball well after he was out of bounds. I am pleased that the ruling went our way but my surprise is that the refs had not given a call to
Tennessee's benefit all game and that call did just that.

I've seen him call over officials and chew their ears multiple times.

Just cause he doesn't go all crazy elf like Saban or red faced angry drunk like Stoops doesn't mean he's not giving them his 2 cents.

This is my thought as well. I don’t thing the refs are biased or the SEC offices are tilting the games….i just think the officiating is incompetent.

That being said…the level of incompetence is mind boggling looking at the number of infractions the other teams have that are not called.

I just am not a conspiracy theorist by any measure.

It wouldn’t bother me if it was allowed on both sides but if we have a player hook, it gets called.

Hooking has gotten way out of control. Olinemen are taking advantage of the refusal to call it. Can you blame the player’s for doing it when it’s not being called.

Fewest penalties FBS:
Bama- #88- (49)6.12 per game
UF-#78- (47) 6.71 per game
UK-#106-(54)6.71 per game

If it wasn’t already obvious, it’s starting to become more clear now as it ever has. All of sudden some of the worst teams in the country in penalties clean up all its mistakes and play “clean ball” against UT.
I would seriously like to know what Heupel or UT has done for the refs to completely screw UT every week? This is starting to become a pattern, and the SEC office needs to step in, or the NCAA needs to take over all officiating assignments.

It’s one thing of these are questionable calls, but they are not. A lot of these no calls are being done in the wide open in front of the refs and they just all of sudden don’t see it. But let UT clap trying to pump up their team mates and we being penalized for clapping.

Nothing to see here. No holding, no PIs, nothing at all, right?

Apparently not, even through the last 8 quarters Bama and UK has played so well they haven’t even committed a live ball penalty last to games combined.
