great 1st quarter, bad 2nd quarter. uab made their changes, lets hope our coaches do at half time. look for 17-21 points from ut in the 3rd quarter.

uab is keeping it close, but most every uab fan ive seen has said that ut wont cover the spread and they are on pace to cover it.

UAB's offense has been keeping our D on their toes. But look for the second-half shutdown to commence.

a few changes need to be made at half time.

on offense we just need to keep focus. we dropped balls, didnt hold blocks, and overthrew it way too much

on defense we need to blitz way more. we cant sit back and watch hackney pick the secondary apart.

I think except for Ainge's INT, both QBs played fine. What did we have, like 6 drops in the first half?

Yes. Almost all of Ricks yards have come from WR's ability to run though, not passing ability... We're eventually going to have to have Ainge stop making mistakes. Clausen can win this one for us but we will need Ainge to step up if we're going to beat tougher teams.

Is anyone else as unimpressed by Ainge as I am? After watching 2 full quarters watch how the entire offense reacts to Rick vs Erik...no comparison. Rick has a bond with these guys that Erik simply doesn't for whatever reason. But the whole team needs to get fired up before they come back out.

No... their excuse for not playing us is because there would be no contest and theyd dominate us anyway. If theyre so confident about it, let's try it out and see how a UAB vs UAT game ends up. You have to realize UAB being a "midmajor" and down by 2 TDs (one of which came off a fumble deep in our own territory) to the #3 team in America at one of the most hostile environments in college football... that's not that disappointing.

Ainge had 2 shaky throws, but he also hit 2 sweet deep balls and the fade for a TD. He'll be fine.

We will see. Rick can make a few good throws but screen passes will not cut it against the better SEC teams.

Well tennessee is a second half team man. they go into the locker room and make adjustments and come out on fire. I say yall may score 1 td in the second half but we are going to end up with 35.

i will admit it. i may be happy with the score but uab is hanging tough.

now its ur turn. admit that we are playing vanilla. not much razzle dazzle on defense and staying pretty conservative on offense. just tuning up i suppose.

Blazey, I'm not gonna say your team isn't good. I'm just not gonna say they're better than the Vols.

I'll say they're better than Bama though.

Seriously. I'd bet if they were playing Bama, the score would be within a TD either way right now.

I have to admit, our coaching has kept us in this.
